Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - Waiver Wire Picks for Friday 7/30

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for a lackluster start by Kyle Hendricks to start the week, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We only have five pitchers going that are rostered in more than 90% of ESPN leagues. Seven more are owned in more than half of leagues. That leaves us with a large pool of pitchers to choose from today. Can any of them help us get ahead going into the weekend? Let's check it out!

Hitter Streamers for 7/30 - Shallow Leagues

Andrew Vaughn (OF/1B, RHB, CWS) - 48.6% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CLE RHP J.C.Mejia

Vaughn's eight-game hitting streak ended last night with a 0-fer night against the Royals, but he is still hitting .419 over his last nine games with a homer, five RBI, and five runs scored. The Sox head home to face another beleaguered pitching staff in Cleveland. Expect more good things from Vaughn, even if the power isn't quite what we want yet.

Miguel Sano (1B, RHB, MIN) - 44.3% Rostered

Matchup: at STL LHP Wade LeBlanc

The metrics were pointing towards Sano's recent hot streak for a while now, similar to the case of Willy Adames earlier this year. With Nelson Cruz now in Tampa, Sano is seeing more meaningful at-bats in the middle of the Minnesota order. He is hitting .292 in the last week and smacked two homers yesterday, one of them a 473-foot bomb that hasn't landed yet. Sano has five runs scored and five RBI in that span. He even stole his first base of the season! Sano's breakout is just beginning. Jump on now to the the most out of it!

Harrison Bader (OF, RHB, STL) - 42.7% Rostered

Matchup: vs.MIN RHP Jose Berrios

Darth Bader is destroying almost every baseball in the universe lately. He is hitting .474 with three homers, five runs scored, six RBI, and a steal in just the last week! It's a tougher matchup with Berrios, but he's not invincible and has the worst bullpen on the planet backing him up. Bader's hot streak should continue for the duration of this series at the very least.

Daulton Varsho (C/OF, LHB, ARI) - 32.6% Rostered

Matchup: vs. LAD RHP Tony Gonsolin

We are getting a glimpse of why Varsho is one of Arizona's best prospects right now. He has four of his five homers on the season in his last seven games. Varsho is hitting .435 in that span with nine RBI and a staggering ten runs scored. That's all in just seven games! The Dodgers might slow him down some, but I'll believe it when I see it. Catcher is one of the most offensively inept positions around. I know that there are ten or so of you in every league that didn't pay up on draft day that can use Varsho at catcher right now.

Hitter Streamers for 7/30 - Deeper Leagues

Kyle Farmer (2B/SS/3B, RHB, CIN) - 11.1% Rostered

Matchup: at NYM RHP Carlos Carrasco

Yes, that Carlos Carrasco is making his season debut tonight. He's going to be good, but maybe not right away. Few players on any team worldwide are hitting like Farmer is right now. He is hitting .484 with two homers, four RBI, and seven runs scored in the last seven games while starting every one of them. Farmer has multiple hits in four straight games now and has scored a run in five straight. Run him out there before he cools off!

Rowdy Tellez (1B, LHB, MIL) - 7.6% Rostered

Matchup: at ATL RHP Touki Toussaint

One of the most impactful trade deadline deals may also be one of the first. The Brewers sent Bowden Francis and Trevor Richards to the Blue Jays for Rowdy back on July 6. In 15 games with his new team, Rowdy is hitting .378 with four homers, nine runs scored, and 12 RBI. He has also walked six times while only walking nine times in 50 games with Toronto. All four of those homers are in the last five games and he is hitting .500 in his six-game hitting streak with those four homers, ten of those 12 RBI, and eight of those nine runs scored. The Brewers might have found a star, at least in the short term.

Miguel Cabrera (1B, RHB, DET) - 4.5% Rostered

Matchup: vs. BAL RHP Matt Harvey

37-year-old Joey Votto, who recently graduated from this list, is having a monster second half so far. 38-year-old Miguel Cabrera is turning back the clock to 2012 as well, when he was the last player to win the Triple Crown (the first in 45 years). Miggy is hitting .400 with three homers, five runs scored, and seven RBI in the last week while still batting cleanup for the Tigers. Harvey's ERA is down below 7 after consecutive scoreless starts, but I'll side with Miggy here.

Abraham Toro (3B, LHB, SEA) - 4% Rostered

Matchup: at TEX LHP Kolby Allard

Toro has now homered in four straight games over two different teams. What's even better is that he hit a homer in all three games of the Houston series in Seattle. One as a visitor and two for the home team. He started this streak against this same Texas team in Houston back on July 25. I'm all for seeing if this can continue. If nothing else, it's one of the more peculiar home run streaks in MLB history.

Pitcher Streamers for 7/30 - Shallow Leagues

Patrick Sandoval (LHP, LAA) - 43.9% rostered

Matchup: vs. Oakland

It seems that 56.1% of you have mailed it in for the year. Don't do that! Sandoval came within one out of his first career complete game against the Twins in his last start and has 22 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in his last two games. You almost never find this kind of strikeout potential on waivers without a huge risk to your ERA. In fact, Sandoval could end up helping your ratios considering he has a 3.52 ERA and 1.10 WHIP on the season. Only Seattle has scored more than three runs off of Sandoval since he joined the rotation on May 17. He should be owned in far more leagues than he is.

Pitcher Streamers for 7/30 - Deeper Leagues

Ryan Weathers (LHP, SD) - 12.4% rostered

Matchup: vs. Colorado

Advertising

Road Rockies are good Rockies. If you need a win, Weathers likely wont do a whole lot for you. He has only gone the five innings required for a win once since June 7. The good news is that he did get that win. Weathers hasn't allowed a run in six innings over his last two starts. One of those came against these same Rockies in San Diego just before the break. Weathers should be able to help your ratios and give you a few strikeouts, but don't expect miracles. The bottom of the pitching barrel is full of traps tonight.
