Happy Sunday gang! Hope you all have had a great weekend so far. It's August already, can you believe it? We have a nice 11-game slate this afternoon, so let's jump right into it and see how we can optimize our DraftKings MLB DFS for this beautiful Sunday.
There shouldn't be any major weather issues today. The only game that is shaky would be Cincinnati and New York, so keep an eye out for that one.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/1/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Charlie Morton - ATL vs MIL ($10,500)
Morton is the top option of the slate, and for good reason. He's been pitching very well lately, throwing quality starts in three of his last four starts. He's been good to the tune of a 3.76 xFIP over the last 30 days.
Jordan Montgomery - NYY @ MIA ($7,600)
Monty is another guy that has been pitching well of late. He's got a 4.20 xFIP and a 26.5% K-rate over the last 30 days, and is facing a weak Marlins lineup that lost one of their best power bats against left-handed pitching in Adam Duvall this week.
Other Options: Jose Berrios ($8,600), Marco Gonzales ($6,500)

DraftKings DFS Infielders
Seby Zavala - C, CWS vs CLE ($2,000)
Digging into the value bin and riding the hot hand with Zavala at catcher, who hit three homers last night. He's in a positive matchup against Cal Quantrill, who struggles against lefties.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. - 1B, TOR vs KC ($6,300)
Potential triple crown candidate Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been playing well since the All-Star Break. He's seeing the ball well with a .730 wOBA + ISO over the last 30 days, and I expect that to continue against Brad Keller today.
Abraham Toro - 2B/3B, SEA @ TEX ($3,200)
Toro has been killing it since coming over to Seattle this week. The 24-year-old has six hits with two homers in four games as a Mariner, and now has a plus matchup against Mike Foltynewicz, one of everyone's favorite guys to stack against.
Kyle Seager - 3B, SEA @ TEX ($4,600)
One of the more underappreciated players in the American League, Kyle Seager is playing very well this year. Currently riding a six-game win streak, I expect him to extend that against Folty today.
Charlie Culberson - SS/OF, TEX vs SEA ($2,200)
We dig in the value bin once again, on the opposite side of Seattle this time. Culberson has a wOBA + ISO of .565 this season against left-handed pitching, matching him up well against Marco Gonzales of Seattle today.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Juan Soto - OF, WAS vs CHC ($6,000)
The last man standing in Washington, Soto has absolutely crushed baseballs since the HR Derby. He's got a 61.4% hard contact rate matched with a .952 wOBA + ISO against right-handed pitching in the last 30 days. He's been on an absolute tear and it's a shame that Washington no longer has any stack value.
George Springer - OF, TOR vs KC ($5,400)
The Blue Jays major acquisition over the offseason is finally heating up, as Springer hit a leadoff homer yesterday. While I can't confirm he will do that again today, he does matchup well with Brad Keller, with a nice mini-stack with him and Vladdy.
Ben Gamel - OF, PIT vs PHI ($2,300)
Kyle Gibson makes his Philadelphia debut today, Gamel is the only Pirate who has seen him in their careers, and he's got two doubles in seven at-bats. While that's not necessarily the needle-mover for me, Gamel has been seeing the ball well of late with a 51.2% hard contact rate over the last 30 days. He's a cheap addition to a solid lineup, but I wouldn't recommend stacking Pittsburgh.
