Cardinals @ Pirates
More or Less Contest
Mitch Keller less than 4.5 strikeouts and Miles Mikolas more than 4.5 strikeouts
This matchup pits two teams and pitchers that just faced each other back in the ring again. Mitch Keller managed to strike out six Pirates in his previous start, but this feels more like an anomaly than the norm. He had failed to go over this total in his five previous starts before facing the Cardinals. The Cardinals are also posting a solid 19.6% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked seventh-best in baseball.
Mikolas managed to strike out five Pirates across just five innings pitched in his first start since going on the IL back in May and could be given some additional length in tonight's start. The Pirates have been striking out more lately as noted by their K rate of 25.4% over the previous 10 days, which ranks 10th-worst in baseball. The Pirates are also posting just a 42(!) wRC+ vs. righties over that same span, which should certainly help Mikolas stay in the game.

Rangers @ Indians
More or Less Contest
Sam Hentges less than 4.5 strikeouts and Jordan Lyles less than 4.5 strikeouts
Hentges prop will not be sitting at 4.5 all day as it is currently set too high. He has not reached this total except in two starts on the season. He has also had a short leash in many of his starts with four innings being the most he has pitched since July 7th. He will be going up against a Rangers squad that is only striking out at a rate of 16.0% vs. left-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked fourth-best in baseball.
Lyles less than 4.5 is a bit dicier than Hentges due to the fact that Lyles has gone over this total in five of his last six starts. That being said, he has an incredibly tough matchup for strikeouts tonight against the Tribe. Over the previous 10 days, they are striking out at a rate of 17.1% against right-handed pitching, which is ranked second-best in baseball behind only the Houston Astros. They are also posting a very respectable 103 wRC+ over that same span, which could spell trouble for Lyles as he has allowed four earned runs or more in five of his previous seven starts.
