Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for a horrible start by Jameson Taillon on Thursday, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.
It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.
We have eight pitchers going that are rostered in more than 90% of ESPN leagues. Six more are owned in more than half of leagues. That leaves us with a shade more than half of today's pitchers to choose from. All three of our waiver pitchers helped out yesterday. Let's find those gems again!

Hitter Streamers for 8/28 - Shallow Leagues
Nick Solak (2B/OF, RHB, TEX) - 46.3% Rostered
Matchup: vs. HOU LHP Framber Valdez
It appears as though the time at AAA Round Rock did Solak some good. He is riding a five-game hitting streak since spending a month on the farm. Solak is hitting .381 in that span with a homer, a steal, four runs scored, and three RBI. Framber presents a tough matchup, but he also is unlike to go more than six innings and he's not totally unhittable. I'm good running Solak out there at a weak position tonight.
Brandon Nimmo (OF, LHB, NYM) - 43.2% Rostered
Matchup: vs. WAS LHP Sean Nolin
The lefty-lefty matchup here doesn't bother me, especially since Nimmo hit a three-run bomb off of Nolin earlier this month. Nimmo is hitting .458 with a homer, a steal, and three runs scored over the last week. He gives some nice potential batting leadoff for the Mets in a game in which they could score a lot of runs.
Daulton Varsho (C/OF, LHB, ARI) - 31.2% Rostered
Matchup: at PHI RHP Kyle Gibson
Varsho has three homers, six RBI, and five runs scored in the last week of action. Something to note is that Arizona has started him in every game in that span. He was held hitless by Nola last night, but that's going to happen from time to time. Gibson has had moderate success since being traded to the Phillies, but Arizona did beat him back on August 17. Varsho picked up a hit and a run in that game. I'll take that!
Patrick Wisdom (1B/3B/OF, RHB, CHC) - 30.1% Rostered
Matchup: at CWS RHP Lance Lynn
Wisdom has three homers in the last three games and five in the last seven with 11 RBI in that span. While he likely wont abuse Lynn like he did Dallas Keuchel last night, Wisdom looks locked in right now and can fill many holes with the position eligibility.
Hitter Streamers for 8/28 - Deeper Leagues
Connor Joe (OF, RHB, COL) - 19.3% Rostered
Matchup: at LAD LHP David Price
Joe picked up a hit and a run in the win over the Dodgers last night and is probably my favorite Rockies player tonight against the shadow of former Cy Young winner David Price. Joe likely wont put up huge numbers, but the Rockies are doing much better as a whole on the road in the last month or so. Joe could provide another run or two and has eight RBI in the last eight games.
Jake Meyers (OF, RHB, HOU) - 10.5% Rostered
Matchup: at TEX LHP Kolby Allard
Even though Kyle Tucker is back in the lineup, the Astros have kept the hot-hitting Meyers in there. He is hitting .393 with a homer, nine RBI, and four runs in the last week. Those of you who pounced on Meyers got a pair of RBI for your foresight. Allard might be the weakest pitcher on the entire slate, so expect more good things from Meyers tonight.
Bobby Dalbec (1B, RHB, BOS) - 9.6% Rostered
Matchup: at CLE RHP Cal Quantrill
Dalbec has two multi-homer games in the dozen that he has played. He has a modest three-game hitting streak going, but understand that Dalbec is still an all-or-nothing type player. However, that all might be multiple homers. He has five in the last two weeks and drove in seven runs on Thursday night. There's potential here.
Brandon Marsh (OF, RHB, LAA) - 6.5% Rostered
Matchup: vs. SD LHP Ryan Weathers
Unless you have been under a rock for the last two years or so, you know how highly touted of a prospect Marsh is. His beginning in the major leagues left much to be desired, but Marsh is starting to figure things out. He is hitting .448 with a homer, five runs scored, and a staggering 10 RBI in just the last eight games! At this point, Marsh is known more for his speed, but that RBI total is what really has me interested. The eight hits in the last four games doesn't hurt either.
Pitcher Streamers for 8/28 - Shallow Leagues
Tyler Anderson (LHP, SEA) - 21.8% rostered
Matchup: vs. Kansas City
Anderson has a 3.00 ERA in five starts since the Mariners got him at the trade deadline. However, three of those five starts were against the Rangers. Still, he held his own against Houston and the Yankees in the other starts, so we could be on to something here. The gripe with Anderson is that he doesn't get a lot of strikeouts –he only has 19 in 27 innings with Seattle – but he will help your ratios and should give us a shot at a win.
Adrian Houser (RHP, MIL) - 17.9% rostered
Matchup: at Minnesota
The Twins only scored two runs on Eric Lauer last night, so despite him not getting the win, the logic was right. Houser has been brillant of late. He has only allowed one run in his last 16.1 innings pitched. Like Anderson, strikeouts are not a strong point. Houser has only fanned ten batters in those 16.1 innings. Still, he could be a huge boost to our ERA and should help the WHIP. That has to be enough tonight. There's not a lot of strikeout potential on waivers.
Pitcher Streamers for 8/28 - Deeper Leagues
Steven Brault (LHP, PIT) - 3.6% rostered
Matchup: vs. St. Louis
Brault has looked like a different pitcher between this year and last year. He had a 5.16 ERA in 25 games in 2019. His ERA in 15 games over the last two years is 3.08. Brault has been spectacular in his four starts this year, only allowing four runs in 18.2 innings pitched. Two of those starts were against this same Cardinals team. Like our other streamers, his strikeouts are nothing to write home about. The offense backing him up is also putrid, so your chances at a win (especially with Pirate killer Adam Wainwright on the other side) are non-existent. Brault is strictly to help your ratios and maybe get lucky with strikeouts.
