DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (9/4/21 Late Night)

Did you think our college football DFS coverage was done for the day? Just because most of the world goes to bed before the late night slate doesn't mean that I do! College football addicts and DFS degenerates unite! We've got a nice four-game late night snack for you on DraftKings. It's not over until we say it is!

This is more like a late night Taco Bell run than a snack. We have Cal and Nevada in the Bay Area. BYU heads to Arizona for a glorified practice. A horrible New Mexico State team heads out to San Diego. At least the weather will be nice when they get whipped. We top it off with two new-look teams in Washington State and Utah State. Don't give out on me now! There's still money to be won!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/4/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Jaren Hall, BYU ($7,900)

Hall missed all of last season with an injury, but he beat out Baylor Romney for the starting gig. What do we know about Hall? Not a lot. He was a solid backup in 2019 and was the number three rated QB in Utah in the class of 2016. Whatever the case, he's going to look like Patrick Mahomes against this Arizona defense. The best part? Hall needs the reps, so he may not get taken out when the game gets out of hand (and it will).

Carson Strong, Nevada ($6,400)

Strong is supposed to be the best thing in Reno since Colin Kaepernick. He averaged almost 25 DraftKings points per game last season and threw just four interceptions to his 27 touchdown passes. Cal's defense is solid, but not solid enough to keep Strong from hitting value at his depressed price. I picked Nevada outright, so I'm riding my horse in DFS too.

Also consider: Logan Bonner, Utah State ($7,500); Jordon Brookshire, San Diego State ($6,200)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Tyler Allgeier, BYU ($7,000)

He and Lopini Katoa are perched atop the depth chart together and I would run both of them against Arizona. The Wildcats can't possibly be worse than last year, but I doubt they'll be a whole lot better either. The emergence of Hall as the starting QB could take a few carries away from the backs, but it wont matter in this game. This is basically a glorified practice.

Max Borghi, Washington State ($5,800)

Borghi might be the best pass-catching back in the entire country. That's not to say that he can't run out the backfield. He can. It just highlights How many free points Borghi gets on receptions. Guarantano was a checkdown artist at Tennessee because even when the receivers got open, he couldn't hit them with consistency. There is a co-starter situation at QB. Whoever it is will love Borghi as their security blanket.

Michael Wiley, Arizona ($4,900)

Wiley was one of the very few bright spots for Arizona last year. The BYU defense is good, but Wiley is electric. He averaged 7.2 yards per carry behind Gary Brightwell last year. He won't average that against BYU, but Wiley should still have a strong game for this price point.

Also consider: Toa Taua, Nevada ($6,100); Greg Bell, San Diego State ($4,700); Chance Bell, San Diego State ($3,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Travell Harris, Washington State ($8,000)

Harris averaged more DraftKings points per game than most quarterbacks that year. That's how many footballs fly his way. The co-starter tag worries me a bit, but Harris is by far the best receiver for the Cougars and he might be the best player on the team. He has a high floor due to the sheer number of targets he gets.

Romeo Doubs, Nevada ($6,000)

If you've never watched Doubs play before, come be an addict with me and check this guy out. He's legit. Doubs is an outstanding receiver and often makes Carson Strong look good. He broke 30 DraftKings points in four of the nine games last year. His ceiling is probably higher than that of Harris if you can stomach running him against the Cal defense.

Kekoa Crawford, California ($4,500)

Cal has a couple of big holes in the receiving corps, but Crawford should plug one of those. 10 of his 18 receptions came in the Oregon State game last season, so some consistency would be nice. However, Crawford is the leading returning receiver for the Bears and can do some damage out of the slot.

Also consider: Deven Thompkins, Utah State ($6,900); Cole Turner, Nevada ($6,100); Tayvian Cunningham, Arizona ($4,900)
