DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (9/24/21)

We have another big weekend of college football DFS for you this week. There is a showdown slate for Thursday with just one game going on. Friday we have four games, headlined by Wake Forest heading up to Charlottesville for a conference tilt with the Hoos.

We kick the night off with Middle Tennessee State taking on Charlotte in the Queen City. Liberty heads up to the Carrier dome to see how they do against a power 5 foe. We finish this off with a late night game out in Fresno when UNLV leaves the glitz and lights of Vegas to look terrible in a normal setting. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/24/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Brennan Armstrong, Virginia ($8,700)

This seems cheap for a guy that threw for roughly a third of a mile on the Tarheels last week. It was another big game for Armstrong, which should come as no surprise considering the state of the Hoos run game. This promises to be another competitive game with a Wake team that just dumped Florida State last weekend. These aren't the Seminoles of old, but fourth-year sophomore Sam Hartman has the team running well right now. That means once again Armstrong will have to throw to keep the team in the game. His floor and ceiling are the highest at the position.

Chase Cunningham, Middle Tennessee State ($5,300)

Bailey Hockman was benched at halftime of the UTSA game last week and it rubbed him so wrong that he left the football program. It likely didn't help that Cunningham far outplayed him in his half of action. The Roadrunners are one of the tougher teams that the Blue Raiders will face this year. We have to be happy with what Cunningham showed in that second half. He's really cheap, and while the Charlotte defense is solid, I expect a nice game for the price here if you need a salary saver under center.

Keytaon Thompson, Virginia ($4,500)

Thompson, the Swiss Army knife of the Virginia offense, is still listed as a minimum-priced quarterback on DraftKings. Thompson has cleared double digit DraftKings points in all three games this season, particularly shining against Illinois. The Hoos are going to continue using him all over the field and aren't shy about it. If Thompson is healthy, he's a free space on DraftKings.

Also consider: Malik Willis, Liberty ($8,500); Jake Haener, Fresno State ($7,900); Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($7,800)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Sean Tucker, Syracuse ($6,400)

Tucker wont score five touchdowns like he did against Albany. That was a once in a career thing for him. Liberty's run defense is one of the best out there, but Tucker has shown an ability to make plays in the passing game too. He is literally the only weapon the Syracuse offense has. He will likely have a game like he did against Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights committed to stopping him, but Tucker still put up a solid 18.1 DraftKings points. He has seven touchdowns in three games. The chances of him not paying off this price are minimal considering the lack of playmakers around him.

Christian Beal-Smith, Wake Forest ($5,300)

I'm a big Ronnie Rivers fan, but that game wont be in question after the first quarter or so. I'm off or Rivers like I am most of the Fresno offense. UNLV simply isn't good enough to keep up and guessing who is going to put that game out of reach is dangerous to your wallet. Wake has been careful with CBS so far. He only has 39 carries in three games, but four of those have gone for touchdowns. Wake does most of their damage through the air, but it is worth noting that CBS had 19 carries against Florida State. The Deacons really didn't need him in the first two games. Expect another healthy workload against the Hoos.

Amir Rasul, Middle Tennessee State ($3,000)

This backfield has been an absolute disaster for the whole season. Bailey Hockman was probably the best rusher, and he's no longer on the team. Rasul led the team in carries last week with Martell Pettaway not far behind. I might play roulette with this backfield because of what backs have done to the Charlotte defense this year. I wouldn't touch this in cash games, but using Rasul or Pettaway could help you pay up for the receivers in a GPP.

Also consider: Ronnie Rivers, Fresno State ($5,600); Shadrick Byrd, Charlotte ($4,700); Christian Turner, Wake Forest ($4,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Billy Kemp IV, Virginia ($8,700)

Kemp was an underpriced running back for the entirety of the 2020 season on DraftKings. They've wised up this year, but Kemp's performances of late are certainly worthy of this tag. With Armstrong slinging it around like B. J. Symons, there are plenty of receptions and yards to pad the totals of Virginia receivers. All signs point to Wake hanging around in this one, which makes Kemp relatively safe. The issue here is the big game last week is skewing his price. There is more bust potential from Kemp than usual, but he is the most targeted receiver on the team and has three touchdowns in the last two games.

A.T. Perry, Wake Forest ($6,100)

I wont call this a changing of the guard at Wake. It's more like Jaquarii Roberson is drawing all the attention and Sam Hartman is wisely throwing to Perry more. Florida State completely neutralized Roberson but Perry tore them apart, posting the best game of his career so far. Virginia likely noticed this, so a bounceback game could be in order for Roberson. However, Perry is a lot cheaper than Roberson and Hartman knows he can trust more than one receiver now. If Perry can keep getting open, he'll pay off handsomely once again.

Grant DuBose, Charlotte ($4,900)

DuBose was the only Charlotte receiver that could get open last week. He has 11 receptions through three games, making him the leading receiver for the 49ers right now. Charlotte isn't a prolific passing team, but they don't have to be with DuBose at this price. They will likely have to throw a little more to keep up with Middle Tennessee State. DuBose racked up 118 yards and two scores against Duke in week 1. He is a nice cheaper option here.

Jelani Woods, Virginia ($4,000)

Once again, DraftKings gives us a free space. The big tight end has 11 receptions for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the last two games. This is another game where Virginia should need the services of Woods. He is becoming one of the better tight ends in the ACC, if not the country, and he's still $4,000. Thanks DraftKings!

Also consider: Jalen Cropper, Fresno State ($7,400); Taylor Morin, Wake Forest ($5,300); Demario Douglas, Liberty ($4,400); Jimmy Marshall, Middle Tennessee State ($3,500)
