OwnersBox Quarterback Picks

On OwnersBox, you have the option of starting two quarterbacks as this is a Superflex contest.

Taylor Heinicke, WAS ($6,100) - vs KC

Heinicke and the WFT come into this game as 6.5-point underdogs, which will lead to some additional passing in this game. Add in the fact that the Chiefs have a high-powered offense and can score in an instant, and you have a Football Team that will likely be chasing points most of the game. This may not be such a bad thing from a fantasy perspective as the the Chiefs are allowing quarterbacks to throw for nearly 306 passing yards per game over the previous four weeks, which is ranked fourth-worst in the league.

Jalen Hurts, PHI ($7,300) - vs TB

In order for the Eagles to be competitive and try to win this game, Jalen Hurts is going to have to put up a solid stat line and this is possible given the fact that the Bucs have allowed an average of over 298 passing yards per game to the quarterback position across the previous four weeks. Hurts has averaged 41 pass attempts per game over the previous three weeks, so the volume is certainly there. He has also gone over 300 passing yards in two of his last three games, both of which came against high-powered offenses (similar to the Bucs) against the Chiefs and Cowboys. This one sets up very similarly and he certainly has a shot to throw for over 300 yards.

OwnersBox Running Back Picks

Leonard Fournette, TB ($5,500) - @ PHI

Fournette has been given 32 carries over the previous two weeks and appears to be the leading candidate for carries moving forward. He is also doing the most with his carries as he is averaging nearly five yards per carry over the previous two weeks. The matchup this week is a good one as well against an Eagles' defense that has allowed 496 rushing yards to backs over the previous four weeks, which is ranked third-worst in the league. The Bucs are also 6.5-point favorites in this one, which could lead to additional carries down the stretch.

OwnersBox Wide Receiver Picks

Jakobi Meyers, NE ($5,200) - vs DAL

Meyers gets one of his best matchups of the season this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys' secondary. Over the previous four weeks, the Cowboys have allowed wide receivers to average 202 receiving yards per game over the previous four weeks, which ranks sixth-worst in the league. He has seen plenty of volume as well as he has earned 31 targets over the previous three games and hauled in 21 receptions for 220 receiving yards in that span. The Patriots are (of course) underdogs in this game and this should mean additional targets for Meyers as well.

Terry McLaurin, WAS ($6,700) - vs KC

McLaurin and the Football Team get a solid matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. Currently, the Chiefs are allowing wide receivers to average 163 receiving yards per game. McLaurin is the top target in Washington and the most likely to benefit from the Chief's poor pass defense as he has seen 49 targets through the team's first five games. The fact that Washington is also a 6.5-point underdog in this game should also increase the volume McLaurin sees in this one. McLaurin has also gone over 60 receiving yards in four of five games this season and has eclipsed 100 yards twice.
