DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/15/22 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

TyTy Washington Jr. CBB DFS lineup picks NCAA daily fantasy college basketball

We've got a big Saturday with 12 games on tap. We'll see more of this with college football now done until August. I'm going to miss football, but we'll still have some good times with college basketball between now and March. Noon Eastern starts us off with Kansas State hosting Texas Tech, Xavier hosting Creighton, and Michigan State hosting Northwestern.

The SEC jumps in an hour later with Florida in South Carolina and Kentucky taking on Tennessee. We start off the afternoon with Arkansas at LSU, Maryland hosting Rutgers, Kansas hosting West Virginia, Iowa State bringing in Texas, and Duke hosting North Carolina State. We close this slate with Florida State up in the Carrier Dome to take on every Boeheim in upstate New York. This is going to be a good one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/15/22 starting at noon eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Dereon Seabron, North Carolina State ($9,300)

There aren't a lot of players at the top of the guard pool who rack up the peripherals that Seabron does. There are a lot of below average to just plain bad matchups among the upper tier of guards. Seabron is also in one of those. Everyone knows the way to attack Duke is up front. However, Seabron is averaging five assists and eight rebounds per game in ACC play. He's also at about a steal per game. Even in games when he doesn't score at his usual 20 points per game clip, Seabron still puts up a nice total for DFS. His ceiling isn't that high, but Seabron is the only guard that I can pay up for without being completely terrified.

Buddy Boeheim, Syracuse ($7,800)

Okay, fine. I'll buy into the Boeheim mania today. Buddy has played every minute in three of the last four games. He also played 35 minutes before fouling out against Miami in that span. Boeheim has cleared 20 actual points in four of the last six games. He's piling up assists and rebounds and will pick a few pockets as well. Florida State can be had on the perimeter, so I'm going with a guy that can pile up points in a hurry. Boeheim also averages six more DraftKings points per game at home. There's enough data that it's not just a fluke anymore.

Fatts Russell, Maryland ($7,200)

The Rhode Island transfer has averaged 14.5 points, five assists, three rebounds, and a steal per game since Big Ten(14) play began in earnest when the calendar flipped to 2022. Rutgers isn't an easy matchup, but Maryland fans are finally getting the Fatts they thought they were getting. He was a star for Rhode Island last year, but struggled with consistency on a better all-around team to start the season. He and his Maryland teammates have looked far more comfortable of late.

Kadary Richmond, Seton Hall ($5,700)

Richmond and Aiken are both on a roll right now. However, Richmond is still $1,000 less than Aiken and has put up at least 20 DraftKings points in all five games since the break. Aiken has the higher ceiling, but Richmond's 86.25 DraftKings points over the last three games are a hell of a return none the less. This is a plus matchup against Marquette. Both are firmly in play if going cheaper at guard today.

Ryan Nembhard, Creighton ($4,000)

This just feels way too cheap for a guy averaging 35 minutes per game, even against a team like Xavier.  The entire Creighton team struggled against Villanova the last time they took the court ten days ago. That depressed their prices on DraftKings to the point where there is a ton of value here. Nembhard was priced $1,500 higher against Villanova. He's a lock at his minutes and this price.

Also consider: Tyty Washington, Kentucky ($8,900); Santiago Vescovi, Tennessee ($8,000); Markquis Nowell, Kansas State ($7,500); Bryce Aiken, Seton Hall ($6,700); Tyrese Hunter, Iowa State ($5,400); Matthew Cleveland, Florida State ($5,100); Geo Baker, Rutgers ($4,700)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Paolo Banchero, Duke ($9,700)

Banchero stumbled a bit earlier in the season, but he has been a force in ACC play so far. Banchero has 157.5 DraftKings points in the four conference games so far. Duke was careful with the freshman phenom earlier in the year, especially when Duke got out to a comfortable lead. They need Banchero in these close games. He has responded by flirting with a double-double every night thanks to his skills on the glass and efficient shooting. I expect another strong game out of Banchero tonight against a North Carolina State frontcourt that has struggled keeping people off the glass.

Colin Castleton, Florida ($9,000)

Castleton leads the Gators in points, blocks, and rebounds on the season. We can't say he's not worth that lofty salary. Only Maryland has kept him out of double digits in points this year. He hasn't had less than seven rebounds in over a month (and that was in a blowout). Castleton is disruptive everywhere on the court and has one of the safer floors out there even if the Gators offense sputters. The only thing Castleton has going against him is that the doesn't play high-30's in minutes like Banchero and Tshiebwe do.

Jericole Hellems, North Carolina State ($7,200)

Hellems is priced way too low for a forward going against Duke. Wake didn't do a ton of damage up front on Wednesday, but that doesn't necessarily mean Duke is getting better. If the Blue Devils keep AJ Griffin in the starting lineup (who is a great play as well if he starts for the price), I like Hellems a little less. It's no coincidence that Duke's interior became much better with Griffin making his first start. I still think Hellems is worth it regardless of Griffin, but I might just move down to Donta Scott instead if Griffin starts.

Gabe Osabuohien, West Virginia ($4,700)

Osabuohien doesn't play a ton of minutes, but he produces at a high level when he's in there. He's not always involved in the offense, but his work on the glass and the defensive end gives him a high floor. The Mountaineers are going to need that defense if they are to hang with Kansas in the Phog. He's worth a GPP dart at this price.

Tre Mitchell, Texas ($3,900)

Mitchell played just two minutes against Oklahoma on Tuesday after clearing COVID protocols. Texas plans on having him available for his usual 20 minutes in this one. It's going to be a tough, physical game against Iowa State, so they are going to need Mitchell in there. He's a high-risk/high reward type of player, but so is everyone in this range. Most will just forget about Mitchell since he hasn't played meaningful minutes in two weeks.

Also consider: Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($9,600); Jared Rhoden, Seton Hall ($8,200); Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($7,700); Jimmy Boeheim, Syracuse ($6,100); Clifford Omoruyi, Rutgers ($5,800); Wildens Leveque, South Carolina ($4,800)
