DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/22/22 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

TyTy Washington Jr. CBB DFS lineup picks NCAA daily fantasy college basketball

We have 11 games for the main slate on Saturday. There's a lot of afternoon goodness as well, but this will cover just the main (early) slate. We start at noon Eastern with Rutgers heading to Minneapolis to take on the Gophers. West Virginia ventures down to Lubbock to take on a tough Texas Tech team. Syracuse heads to not-so-friendly Cameron Indoor. Virginia Tech is on Chestnut Hill. The Hall takes on St. John's and Villanova heads to Georgetown.

An hour later we have Florida hosting Vanderbilt and Kentucky heading down to Auburn to start off the SEC day. An hour after that we have Oklahoma State heading down to Austin and Florida State heading down the Florida Turnpike to Miami. We finish off the stacked early slate with Baylor heading up to Norman to take on the reeling Sooners. This is going to be a good one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/22/22 starting at noon eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Tyty Washington Jr, Kentucky ($8,800)

Once again, the top of the guard pool is littered with tough matchups. That's normal during conference play. The uncertain status of James Akinjo thins it out even more. This is another good spot for Washington and many will bail after his tough performance against A&M earlier this week. Auburn doesn't slow a game down like A&M does. They play well, but they play fast. Washington should have plenty of opportunities to make up for Wednesday's disaster.

Charlie Moore, Miami ($7,900)

Moore struggled with his shot against North Carolina and it drastically affected his bottom line. He also played just 27 minutes in the blowout win. The Hurricanes just faced Florida State ten days ago. That game was a wild success for Moore, who scored 20 points with three rebounds, six assists, and three steals in a close loss in Tallahassee. This game should stay similarly close, allowing Moore to hang around the 35 DraftKings point mark that he had made his floor at in January until this week.

Justin Moore, Villanova ($7,500)

The peripheral numbers were down a little for Moore against Marquette this week in a tough loss. However, he still played 39 minutes and still made at least two three-pointers for the fifth straight game. It should be easier going against a Georgetown team that has allowed at least 70 points in every game since December 5. That includes a four-game losing streak since the COVID break. The Hoyas are having problems stopping anyone right now, which is great news for a scorer like Moore.

Bryce Aiken, Seton Hall ($6,900)

It seems crazy that Aiken was only $3,700 just 17 days ago, but he has been on a tear lately. Aiken has emerged as the best scorer for the Hall in January, scoring at least 22 points in every game except for the win over Butler. Aiken has at least 25 DraftKings points in seven straight games now. He's about as consistent as they come and still feels priced fairly low for what he has been doing.

Jordan Goldwire, Oklahoma ($5,500)

Goldwire has been one of the few bright spots for Oklahoma over the last couple of games. The Sooners have only scored 174 points in the last three games combined, which is a far cry from what they were doing earlier in the season. Goldwire has improved his shooting and scoring of late. We have to think that the rest of the team will break out of their collective slump at some point, but Goldwire put up 20.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Baylor in Waco 17 days ago. A physical defensive game favors Goldwire, making him a solid punt today.

Also consider: Wendell Green Jr., Auburn ($8,300); Isaiah Wong, Miami ($7,400); Dylan Addae-Wusu, St. John's ($7,300); Jordan Wright, Vanderbilt ($6,100); Eylijah Stephens, Minnesota ($5,500); Phlandrous Fleming, Florida ($5,200); RayQuan Evans, Florida State ($4,900)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Paolo Banchero, Duke ($9,500)

Banchero stumbled a bit earlier in the season, but he has been a force in ACC play so far. Banchero has 244 DraftKings points in the six conference games so far. Duke was careful with the freshman phenom earlier in the year, especially when Duke got out to a comfortable lead. They need Banchero in these close games. He has responded by flirting with a double-double every night thanks to his skills on the glass and efficient shooting. Banchero certainly seems to be matchup proof. He hasn't been under 26 DraftKings points since the end of November.

Walker Kessler, Auburn ($8,200)

Kessler is dangerous when he's not fouling out. After back-to-back disqualifications against Florida and Alabama last week (he fouled out in just 12 minutes against the Tide), Kessler came back with a bang. He has 95.5 DraftKings points over the last two games in dominant performances against Ole Miss and Georgia. Kentucky will provide more resistance, but Kessler is a force in every game since the start of December when he hasn't fouled out. There is some risk here, but the upside is pretty high.

Jesse Edwards, Syracuse ($7,600)

Duke has been better up front since inserting Griffin into the starting lineup, but the 6'11" Edwards is still going to be an issue for the Blue Devils. Edwards is long and athletic, an elite rim protector, and capable scorer on a team full of them. He's strong on the boards and has good court vision. Duke doesn't really have anyone that can grapple with him all game and push him out of the lane. The only minor concern here is that Edwards has fouled out of six of the last seven contests. The good news is that he has lasted 30 minutes in all but one of those.

Kaiden Rice, Georgetown ($5,300)

Rice was moved to the bench for the game against Providence on Thursday, but he still nailed five triples in 21 minutes, putting up 24.75 DraftKings points in the process. It appears that the Hoyas want the spark off the bench, which is bad for the peripherals, but it also means that Rice gets more meaningful shots in his time on the court. He's worth the risk at this price if he going to keep hitting threes like he is.

Jeremy Roach, Duke ($4,100)

Roach has come off the bench in three straight games now with Griffin starting, but if Trevor Keels is forced to miss this game, Roach should re-enter the starting five. Despite being eligible at both forward and guard, Roach is one of the best ballhandlers on the team and often runs point when he's in there. He could be a great bargain at this price if Keels is out. Roach was routinely around $6,000 when he was in the starting five.

Also consider: Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($9,600); Mark Williams, Duke ($8,300); Matthew Mayer, Baylor ($7,100); Clifford Omoruyi, Rutgers ($6,800); Tanner Groves, Oklahoma ($6,000); Ike Obiagu, Seton Hall ($5,100);
