This marks the third consecutive game that Rizzo will miss, but it doesn’t appear that he will need a disabled list stint. Victor Caratini will once again play first base and bat seventh. San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey hit his first home run of the season Saturday. Posey crushed two-run blast off Rich Hill in the bottom of the fourth inning. Posey finished the game 1-for-5 and also drew a walk. He remains one of the top catchers in all formats and is now hitting .280.

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant hit his second home run of the season Saturday. It was a rocket off of Zach Davies in the top of the 6th inning. Bryant finished the game 3-for-3 adding a single, triple and also drawing a walk. He remains of the best offensive options in the game.

Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell will get a day of rest Saturday. Russell has been off to a good start this year with a .308 batting average. Second baseman Javier Baez will slide over to shortstop and Tommy La Stella will bat fifth and play second base. Russell should be back in the lineup Sunday.

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) has been scratched from Friday’s lineup with lower back tightness. The move is considered to be precautionary and Rizzo should be considered day-to-day. Catcher Victor Caratini will play first base tonight and bat sixth.
