Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Friday 8/7

Welcome to the 2020 MLB Season! While the delay has now been well over four months, it is finally time to start the season and we here at RotoBaller could not be more excited! The season will be a sprint to the finish as the teams will be playing 60 games across 66 days and we will be here every day to ensure you get the best fantasy baseball advice on the market.

RotoBaller's has been dishing out streamer advice for years. We're always streamin and dreamin. Each day we'll publish some of the best streaming options to consider in your fantasy baseball daily league lineups. Streaming pitchers and position players to exploit a matchup are extremely important in fantasy baseball, especially in a truncated season like this one.

This week's streaming options come from the Indians, Twins, Mariners, Rockies, Tigers, and Braves as well as an arm from the Pirates. Each of them could provide value in your daily lineups. Without further adieu, let's take a look at some options for Friday night.

Shallow League Streamers (50% Rostered)

Cesar Hernandez (2B/CLE) - 45% Rostered

Cesar Hernandez has entrenched himself in the leadoff spot atop the Indians' order and typically finds success vs. right-handed pitchers. Since 2018, Hernandez has slashed .268/.349/.404 vs. righties with 27 of his 29 HR coming off them. Dylan Cease has struggled a bit early on and also has poorer numbers vs. left-handed hitters as he has given up a .409 BAA and three HR to lefties to start the year.

Luis Arraez (2B/3B/OF, MIN) - 40% Rostered

Arraez has a solid matchup against Jakob Junis. Junis struggles vs. lefties as he has allowed a .288 BAA and allowed 26 HR and 29 doubles to them since 2018. Arraez, on the other hand, has thrived vs. right-handed pitching as he boasted a .355/.399/.488 slash line vs. them in 2019 while also hitting four HR and scoring 43 R. Keep an eye on his lineup position as well, because he has hit as high as leadoff and as low as eighth this season. If hitting leadoff, his streamability increases.

Deeper League Streamers (25% Rostered)

Kyle Seager (3B, SEA) - 36% Rostered

Kyle Seager is on absolute fire as he is currently slashing .326/.407/.565. He has also seen solid success vs. right-handers this year as he has posted a .333 AVG and a .970 OPS. This could mean bad news for Antonio Senzatela, who has allowed a .298 BAA and 13 HR to left-handed hitters since 2018. He has also been worse on the road (surprisingly) as noted by his 5.69 road ERA since 2018.

J.P. Crawford (SS, SEA) - 28% Rostered

Crawford also looks to take advantage of Senzatela as he has been hot to start the 2020 campaign. He is currently slashing .273/.429/.424 vs. right-handed pitching and has managed to score 10 runs and steal three bags against them.

Deepest League Streamers (10% Rostered)

Steven Brault (SP/RP, PIT) - 1% Rostered

This recommendation comes with the hopes that the Pirates finally let him go a full five innings or more after throwing two and three in the previous two games, respectively. The matchup vs. the Tigers could not be much better as they currently rank fourth-worst in the league with a 28.3% K rate vs. left-handed pitchers. They're also putting up just a .271 wOBA and 78 wRC+ vs. southpaws.

Niko Goodrum (1B /2B/SS/OF, DET) - 15% Rostered

While the Tigers have been awful vs. left-handed pitchers, there might be a bright spot in Niko Goodrum as he typically fares well vs. left-handed pitching. While he hasn't gotten warmed up yet, Goodrum posted a .402 wOBA vs southpaws in 2019 while ripping six doubles, three triples, and one HR in just 97 AB vs. lefties. Steven Brault, on the other hand, gave up 24 doubles, 12 HR, and 45 BB to righties in 2019 while only facing 392 batters.

Matt Kemp (OF/COL) - 9% Rostered

Matt Kemp is trying to resurrect his career in 2020 and is doing a good job so far. He has always done well vs. left-handed pitching and gets an opportunity to face Yusei Kikuchi Friday night. So far in 2020, Kemp has posted 1.071 OPS vs. lefties in a limited sample size, but has also posted an .842 OPS vs. southpaws since 2018, which is 85 points higher than his OPS vs. righties over that same timeframe. Kikuchi struggles vs. righties as he posted a .304 BAA and allowed a whopping 28 HR across 580 batters in 2019.

Ender Inciarte (OF, ATL) - 3% Rostered

Inciarte has struggled a bit out of the gate, but has provided fantasy owners with three stolen bases to start the season. He gets a matchup vs. right-hander Vince Velasquez and that could mean good things. Inciarte posted a .344 OBP with 10 doubles and five HR vs. righties in 2019 across just 155 AB. Velasquez has also struggled vs. lefties to the tune of allowing a .278 BAA, 28 doubles, and 23 HR since 2018. Inciarte has also had success in his career vs. Velasquez as noted by his .400/.400/.480 line across a solid 25 AB.
