We have a Wednesday split slate on tap, but what were four afternoon games have already reduced to three due to the postponement of the White Sox-Tigers tilt. We're focused on games starting no earlier than 6:10pm ET anyhow, and there's a solid number of hitting candidates in both deep and shallow leagues that have tantalizing matchups on paper. There's also two solid pitching streaming options highlighted, including a rookie that already has the look of a future start.

Hitter Streamers for 9/22 - Shallow Leagues
Kolten Wong (2B, MIL) - 32% rostered
Matchup: vs. STL RHP Miles Mikolas
Wong gets a crack at old Cardinals teammate Miles Mikolas, who's allowed a .305 average and .357 wOBA to left-handed hitters thus far this season, including .409 and .480 figures in that split on the road. For his part, Wong has produced a solid .261 average and .335 wOBA versus right-handed hitters and should operate out of his usual leadoff spot, giving him even more value.
Nicky Lopez (2B/SS, KC) - 59% rostered
Matchup: @ CLE LHP Logan Allen
The lefty-swinging Lopez has been excellent in same-handed matchups all season generating a .3o4 average overall against that handedness and a .358 figure and .373 wOBA when facing that handedness on the road. Lopez also checks in wielding a red-hot bat in September, when he's generated a .352 average and .369 wOBA across 97 plate appearances. In turn, Allen has had more trouble against left-handed hitters over a small sample of 37 batters, allowing a .343 average, .394 wOBA and massive 2.3 HR/9. He's also pitched to a 6.59 ERA and .384 wOBA in his home park, furthering Lopez's case.
Gio Urshela (3B/SS, NYY) -46% rostered
Matchup: vs. TEX LHP Taylor Hearn
Urshela has enjoyed consistent success against left-handed pitching this season and especially at Yankee Stadium, where he owns a .362 average and .399 wOBA against that handedness over a sample of 60 plate appearances. Urshela has a .299 average and has slugged six of his 13 homers at Yankee Stadium overall, while Hearn checks in having allowed 11 homers and a .352 wOBA to right-handed hitters on the road. He's also struggled throughout September, pitching to a 7.16 ERA, .299 BAA and .376 wOBA across 16.1 innings.
Dylan Carlson (OF, STL) - 53% rostered
Matchup: @ MIL LHP Brett Anderson
The switch-hitting Carlson has thrived against left-handed pitching all season, tagging southpaws for a .345 average, .914 OPS, .389 wOBA and 148 wRC+. Meanwhile, Anderson will be coming off the injured list for this start and has given up seven of his nine home runs this season to right-handed hitters on his way to surrendering a .260 average. Prior to his stint on the IL, Anderson was also laboring some, posting an 8.53 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in his last three normal starts before the injury.
Hitter Streamers for 9/22- Deeper Leagues
Freddy Galvis (2B/3B/SS, PHI) - 6% rostered
Matchup: vs. BAL LHP Keegan Akin
The switch-hitting Galvis has enjoyed his greatest success against left-handed pitching this season, posting a .284 average, .344 wOBA and .815 OPS against southpaws overall. Akin makes for an excellent target, as he's struggled in most of his starts and has especially had a difficult time on the road, where he carries a 7.71 ERA, .313 BAA and .401 wOBA. Those figures are partly constituted by some shoddy work against right-handed hitters, which have tagged Akin for a .305 average, 10 homers and a .398 wOBA on the road.
Austin Nola (C/1B/2B, SDP) - 30% rostered
Matchup: vs. SDP LHP Scott Kazmir
The Giants will bring up Kazmir from the minors for this start, and the veteran left-hander hasn't really been doing too much of note against Triple-A bats during his time with the Giants' Sacramento affiliate. Kazmir has pitched to a 4.61 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with the River Cats, and he owns a 6.43 ERA and 1.29 WHIP during his three big-league appearances. Meanwhile, Nola has excelled against left-handed pitching all season, producing a .348 average, .387 OBP and .356 wOBA versus that handedness overall, including a .382 average and .408 wOBA when facing southpaws at home. He's also enjoyed a productive September with a .310 average and .342 wOBA, sending him into this matchup with a hot bat.
Bryan De La Cruz (OF, MIA) - 7% rostered
Matchup: vs. WAS RHP Josiah Gray
De La Cruz has been excellent against either handedness of pitcher during a successful rookie campaign, and he'll come into Wednesday with a .317 average, .811 OPS and .350 wOBA against righty arms. De La Cruz also owns a .327 average and .356 wOBA at LoanDepot Park overall, and he's produced a .351 wOBA overall in September. Gray has had his moments, but he'll arrive to Wednesday's start allowing a .924 OPS and .380 wOBA to right-handed hitters, along with a massive 3.1 HR/9.
LaMonte Wade Jr. (1B/OF, SFG)- 14% rostered
Matchup: @ SDP RHP Vince Velasquez
Wade offers some excellent left-handed exposure to Velasquez, who's allowed a .305 average, .403 wOBA and 1.8 HR/9 in opposite-handed matchups this season with the Phillies and Padres. Wade has slugged all 18 of his homers off right-handed pitching and has generated a .291 average against righties on the road, along with a mammoth .921 OPS and .387 wOBA versus that handedness overall. The emerging outfielder's bat is on fire coming into Wednesday as well, with Wade posting a .333 average, .963 OPS and .414 wOBA so far in September.

Pitcher Streamers for 9/22 - Shallow Leagues
Joe Ryan (SP, MIN) - 38% rostered
Matchup:@ CHC RHP Kyle Hendricks
Ryan has been impressive over his first three big-league starts, allowing only seven hits over 17 innings while forging a 14:2 K:BB. The hard-throwing right-hander's success is an extension of his stellar minor-league career, during which he forged a 15-8 record, 2.67 ERA and 326 strikeouts in 226 innings. Wednesday, Ryan gets a second crack at the Cubs team he faced in his big-league debut back on Sept. 1, when he gave up three earned runs but only on three hits over five innings and recorded five strikeouts. Chicago should give Ryan plenty of opportunity to flash his elite swing-and-miss stuff, considering the Cubs have struck out at a 27.1 percent clip against right-handers at home in the last month.

Pitcher Streamers for 9/22 - Deeper Leagues
Carlos Hernandez (SP, KC) - 29% rostered
Matchup: @ CLE LHP Logan Allen
Hernandez was knocked around by the Athletics in his last start for seven earned runs, but that was largely an outlier in an otherwise strong second half for the right-hander. Prior to the stumble, Hernandez had pitched to a 5-0 record, 1.68 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 0.6 HR/9 across his previous eight starts. He's been most effective on the road as well, managing a 2.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 0.5 HR/9 across 34.2 innings on his way to a 3-0 mark when traveling. Meanwhile, the matchup shapes up beautifully on paper, considering the Indians own a .192/.266/.309 slash line, .255 wOBA and -18.8 wRAA against right-handed pitching at home over the last month.
