DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/27/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CFB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

I don't want all of you to get burnt out on me already, so I passed on last night's DraftKings College Basketball writeup since I had the FanDuel NBA picks. With the EuroLeague coming up tomorrow and Friday, I figure this is a great day to get in some college basketball! This is a nice eight-game slate. It's a little less glamorous than Duke and Oklahoma being on the slate last night, but we still have one of the Champagnie twins in action and some games representing the Big East, ACC, and Big Ten(14). Let's dive right in!

I'm a little disappointed that DraftKings dropped Baylor off of this one, but then again, I'm not. They play Kansas State in a game that promises to be a blowout. We still have five ranked teams on here with a few of them in nice matchups. However, I think I like some of the pieces of these unranked teams, especially the St. John's - DePaul tilt. That has the highest over/under on the slate. Let's find a few other target spots, shall we?

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/27/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Julian Champagnie, St. John's ($9,200)

His twin brother Justin is the one that seems to have the higher ceiling. I'm not usually willing to pay this price for Julian, but as I stated before, this has the highest implied total on the DraftKings slate. Champagnie constantly scores in the 30's for DraftKings points. Only Creighton and UConn have held him under that this season. DePaul doesn't have much of a chance at doing so. In fact, I see Champagnie having a shot at clearing 50 in this one due to the high over/under and low spread (-1.5 for the Johnnies).

Carlik Jones, Louisville ($8,400)

DraftKings messed up a bit here. When we last saw Carlik, he was racking up 38.25 DraftKings points in a win over Duke on Saturday. As a result, his price dropped $400. I'll take that! Jones looks underpriced here against a Clemson team that has dropped three straight by more than 15 points coming into this one. the Tigers allowed more than 80 points in all three of those games. Jones is the best scorer Louisville has by a long shot. I don't know that I'll be stacked with Cardinals here due to the upside in the St. John's-DePaul tilt, but Carlik is a priority.

D'Mitrik Trice, Wisconsin ($7,200)

I don't like to target games that have slow paces like this one will, but Wisconsin isn't your Badgers team from last decade. They can get up and down the court a bit. It isn't just four guys 6'10" or more bullying you and shooting threes all game. Trice is a big part of that. He's one of the more consistent players you'll find in the conference. Trice hasn't been under 20 DraftKings points since before Christmas. One of those games was the first meeting against Maryland. Trice ravaged the Turtles for 34.5 DraftKings points in that one. I'll take that kind of return!

Hunter Cattoor, Virginia Tech ($4,300)

Jalen Cone is also worth a look on the cheap as both guards did work against Notre Dame the first time around. Neither one of them has a high ceiling, but Cattoor in particular does enough other things besides score that his floor is right around 4x value. That's about what you need to cash in large field GPP's on DraftKings. Virginia Tech rolled the Irish in the first meeting a couple of weeks ago. There's a good chance that they do so again, so I'm a big fan of Hokie value players tonight.

Also consider: David Duke, Providence ($8,600); Posh Alexander, St. John's ($7,900) Koby McEwen, Marquette ($5,700); Dylan Addae-Wusu, St. John's ($3,900)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Moses Moody, Arkansas ($8,900)

Arkansas is going to pace up Ole Miss a little bit in this one. There are a lot of Arkansas pieces that pique my interest here, but Moody has the most upside of any of them. Of course, his floor is a lot less stable. You don't have to look back very far to see his awful game against Auburn. That was a game that Arkansas still one, which is a testament to the players around him. That may scare some off, but I still like Moody an awful lot here. Ole Miss isn't going to get blown off the court. The longer this one stays close, the better off we are. I do think we need to choose between Moody and Jalen Tate and his hot streak here. Go Moody for cash and Tate for GPP.

Damien Jefferson, Creighton ($6,700)

The Blue Jays ran the Hall out of the hall in the first meeting. That led to most of the Creighton players not getting anywhere close to value in that game. The one exception was Mr. Jefferson. Jefferson racked up 32.5 DraftKings points in that one. The price is down due to Creighton not playing all that well lately, but I like a rebound performance for all of the Jays here. Still, Jefferson will be just about my only DFS exposure to this game. Part of it is the potential for a blowout. The other part is the relative weakness of the forward position once you leave the upper tier. I'll take the discount on Damien and hope he gets back on track.

Darious Hall, DePaul ($6,200)

If this game stays close as Vegas expects, it's going to be guys like Hall that keep it that way. Hall is more valuable if you're playing on FanDuel because defense is more his calling card than his scoring. Still, I'm counting on the up-tempo to make this game a little sloppy and for Hall to take advantage of that. Still, Hall is not without his faults. If he could make free throws consistently, he would be dangerous. Romeo Weems has some upside as well, but the DePaul guards may be the way to attack this with your UTIL slots.

Justyn Mutts, Virginia Tech ($5,500)

Notre Dame is one of the worst teams in Division 1 defending forwards whether they be in the corners or in the paint. Mutts went for 25.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting between these two teams. Considering the slump that Aluma is in, Mutts could have an even better game here if Aluma struggles again. Naheim Alleyne is another solid value pick if you're going to run Hokies at the Irish. It's a good way to get off of some of the St. John's ownership.

Also consider: Keve Aluma, Virginia Tech ($7,200); Dawson Garcia, Marquette ($6,400); Aaron Wiggins, Maryland ($6,100); Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($4,500)
