DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 2/24/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CFB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

We have another nice eight-game midweek slate on DraftKings. Most of the SEC track meets were last night, but we still have three more games tonight from the most up-tempo conference. For instance, Alabama-Arkansas has the highest implied total by far at 156 and the spread is just one point. It should do us well to be heavily invested in this game. It's not just the SEC in action. We have a couple of ACC games, a Big Ten(14) matchup, and North Carolina stepping out of conference to play Marquette. We top it off with one more Big East game. This is going to be fun!

In college basketball it's perfectly fine to ignore slow-paced games or teams with tough matchups on a large slate like this. Choosing a couple of spots wisely has been the key this year. The bench players on teams with high point totals could wind up being better plays than starters in the games with lower totals. There are a couple of larger spreads. North Carolina State and Virginia have the lowest implied total on the slate and the Cavs are 12.5 point favorites. I think that's a total fade for me.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/24/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

David Duke, Providence ($8,000)

Duke destroyed Xavier in the first meeting, racking up 49.75 DraftKings points in that one. If you trust A.J. Lawson's recent hot streak, I have no issues going there. To me though, I feel like Duke's ceiling is as high as anyone. The only issue with Duke is that he has had a few off games in February. Two of those were against UConn, whose guards are a lot better now than they were a couple of months ago. Xavier has good guards, but they aren't really known for their defense. If Duke makes a few more shots than he did against UConn, he'll more than pay off the price.

Moses Moody, Arkansas ($7,100)

Tennessee has hit the skids of late and though I love this game from both sides, it feels like most Alabama pieces are a bit overpriced. Moody has been more consistent than Jaden Shackelford in SEC play and he was much better in the first head-to-head meeting. Moody dropped 41.5 DraftKings points in that one. Moody hasn't been under 3x value since the Ole Miss game at the end of January. He should provide another nice return for the price and it feels like his ceiling is higher than Shackelford's or Herbert Jones. Neither of them are bad plays, I'm just making sure I fit Moody in first.

D.J. Stewart, Mississippi State ($6,600)

Both Stewart and Isaiah Molinar torched the Gamecocks in the first meeting. That was only two weeks ago, so I expect nothing less than that again. Stewart has the higher ceiling. Molinar has the higher floor. Both are around the same price, so use whichever one fits your build. I am going to run both in at least one lineup. I like the upside they have against a South Carolina team that might have the worst defense on the entire slate.

Jahvon Quinerly, Alabama ($4,500)

Quinerly is the one Alabama piece that isn't overpriced. He doesn't have the ceiling of Shackelford, Jones, or John Petty, but he doesn't need to at this price. Quinerly has at least 15 DraftKings in every February game and his output has increased progressively every game with the exception of the recent Vanderbilt game. He still cleared 20 DraftKings points in that one, so we really can't complain. Quinerly put up 19.5 DraftKings points in 21 minutes in the first meeting. He's been playing closer to 25-28 minutes of late, so another game in the 20's seems likely.

Also consider: Jaden Shackelford, Alabama ($7,600); Ron Harper, Jr., Rutgers ($6,800); Jalen Tate, Arkansas ($6,200); Deivon Smith, Mississippi State ($4,300)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Dylan Disu, Vanderbilt ($8,900)

There are a couple of high-profile forwards to choose from tonight, but Disu gets my vote. The Vols are in a tailspin right now and Disu is plenty good enough to take advantage of that. So is Scottie Pippen, Jr. Disu has the much higher ceiling though, so I'm going with him. Vandy still isn't a favorite in this game, but they are for me from a DFS standpoint. Whereas Tennessee is a very balanced team, Vandy runs almost exclusively through Disu and Pippen. Your Vanderbilt exposure should come from one of those spots.

Day'Ron Sharpe, North Carolina ($7,300)

The spot for the Tarheels to attack Marquette should be up front. Sharpe exploded in the rivalry game against North Carolina State a month ago. Since then he hasn't been below 22 DraftKings points and absolutely abused Louisville in the blowout win over the weekend. The Carolina guards are good, but they are a better team when they have someone that can control the court up front. Sharpe racked up 43.25 DraftKings points in just 18 minutes against the Cardinals. That kind of ceiling is hard to come by for this price.

Nate Watson, Providence ($6,500)

Watson is one of the few true centers left in any type of organized basketball. Most teams are able to handle him, but Xavier was not one of them. Watson racked up 39 DraftKings points in the first meeting. We've seen this before from Watson. He has cleared 30 against the few teams that can't handle a true center. Providence at least realizes what they have and routinely include Watson in the offense. They have no issues passing him the ball. This looks like one of the few nice spots for Watson.

Jericole Hellems, North Carolina State ($5,300)

I know that I said that I was going to fade this whole game, but it's hard to ignore the heater than Hellems is on, even if DraftKings has. Hellems has scored double-digit real points in ten straight games. That gives him a superb floor. Oh, and there is the little tidbit that Hellems ravaged Virginia in the first meeting. He was by far the most productive Wolfpack player, notching 32.25 DraftKings points on the Hoos on February 3.

Also consider: Trayce Jackson-Davis, Indiana ($9,200); Keyshawn Bryant, South Carolina ($7,200); Keon Johnson, Tennessee ($5,800); Alex Reese, Alabama ($4,700)
