We have another big slate with 12 games on the main slate today. We have a nice nine-game afternoon slate as well. It's going to be a big day of college basketball! I'm going to cover both of them again today and see what we get out of that. We begin at noon with Georgia hosting Florida, Bedlam in Norman, and Michigan State hosting Purdue. An hour later brings Butler to Marquette at noon central. An hour later we have the Hogs welcoming Kentucky, Texas heading to Morgantown, Kansas State hosting Iowa State, and NC State hosting the Heels. An hour later brings Clemson up to Chestnut Hill and Miami hosts Virginia Tech. We close out the main slate with Ole Miss bringing in A&M and Xavier hosting the Hall.
The afternoon slate starts at 4 Eastern with Tennessee hosting Auburn, Virginia hosting Florida State, and Oregon State hosting UCLA. The next tip is at 6 eastern when Bama welcomes the Gamecocks, Rutgers hosts Wisconsin, TCU hosts Texas Tech, Duke heads to the Carrier Dome, and Washington hosts Washington State. We close it out with Wake hosting Louisville. This is going to be a fun day!
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/26/22 starting at noon Eastern. DraftKings CBB DFS Guards
Early Slate:
Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($9,300)
Hold on....wait a minute....when did Bacot become a guard and guard only? Not like it matters. Wherever he plays, we play him. The positions aren't stringent in the college basketball lineups, but it is curious that a guy averaging 12.3 boards a game is only a guard now. Bacot has eight double-doubles in his last 11 games and put up a massive 49.25 DraftKings points on the Wolfpack in just 28 minutes in the first game. We could be in for more of the same in Raleigh today.
Izaiah Brockington, Iowa State ($7,800)
Brockington has been on fire over the last fortnight, starting against Kansas State. He has 160.75 DraftKings points over the last four games. Brockington is doing a little bit of everything, but his elite scoring is carrying the Cyclones right now. He dumped in 27 points against the Wildcats the first time around. We probably shouldn't expect the 42.25 DraftKings points that he put up in the first meeting since Brockington has been better at home, but mid-30's seems likely. That's not a bad return for the price.
Jarkel Joiner, Mississippi ($6,600)
The Aggies have been allowing ceiling games of late. Just look at what Kario Oquendo of Georgia (who is also a good play today) did to them this week. Joiner isn't putting up 49 DraftKings points on the Aggies like Oquendo did. He's not enough of a scorer. However, Joiner is active on both ends of the floor and still gets his share of buckets, especially in faster-paced games. The ceiling for Joiner is probably mid-30's here, but that's a good return for the price.
Tyson Walker, Michigan State ($4,100)
A hallmark of Tom Izzo Spartans teams has been a deep bench. Walker is part of this year's deep bench. He has 96.75 DraftKings points over the last four games thanks to great passing and his ability to score on the second unit. He has played so well that he is siphoning minutes and production off of the struggling Gabe Brown. I don't see Walker starting anytime soon, but he can do a lot of damage for the price in 20-25 minutes of court time.
Also consider: Nijel Pack, Kansas State ($8,300); Caleb Love, North Carolina ($7,900); Markquis Nowell, Kansas State ($7,600); Paul Scruggs, Xavier ($7,200); Jordan Miller, Miami ($6,900); Luis Rodriguez, Mississippi ($6,000); Jaeden Zackery, Boston College ($5,800); Tanner Groves, Oklahoma ($4,800)
Afternoon Slate:
Walker Kessler, Auburn ($8,800)
Wait....now Kessler is only listed as a guard? What kind of bizzaro crazy ass world did I wake up to on DraftKings? Much like Bacot, it doesn't much matter what Kesller as listed as since his numbers remain strong. Seriously though....when was the last time you saw a guard have eight blocks like Kessler did against Ole Miss? At any rate, Kessler's foul trouble has been a problem of late, but he still has at least 45 DraftKings points in four of the last five games. The only team to give him fits was Florida thanks to Castleton. Tennessee doesn't have anyone like that that can guard Kessler. His ceiling is likely the highest on the slate.
JD Davison, Alabama ($7,100)
The production on the Tide has been very spread out much like it was last year, but Davison seems to be immune to the floor games of those that Shackelford and Ellis have displayed thanks to his elite rebounding skills and strong passing. Davison isn't much of a scorer, but he still has 139.5 DraftKings points over the last five games. He should be able to pile up stats against a South Carolina team that has played well for much of February.
Kihei Clark, Virginia ($5,700)
Clark's floor is miserable. For instance, he scored just four DraftKings points in 32 minutes on 1-of-9 shooting from the floor on Valentine's Day. Aside from that, Clark has at least 24 DraftKings points in every game since January 24. He has been on fire of late, putting up 42 actual points in the last two games against Miami and Duke. Florida State's defense is decent, but decent wont stop this run that Clark is on. He has a high ceiling at this price.
Adonis Arms, Texas Tech ($4,300)
This is an oversight by DraftKings. Yes, Kevin McCullar is back, but Arms still has at least 24 DraftKings points in four straight games. Two of those were with McCullar in the fold. The last two were against two of the best defenses in the conference in Oklahoma and Texas. Arms put up 26.75 DraftKings points in 26 minutes in the first meeting. That's about how many minutes he is still playing. I'll have Arms in every lineup. He's too cheap.
Also consider: Alondes Williams, Wake Forest ($9,300); Wendell Moore, Duke ($7,600); Cam'Ron Fletcher, Florida State ($6,400); Jermaine Cousinard, South Carolina ($6,100); Tyger Campbell, UCLA ($5,100); PJ Fuller, Washington ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards
Early Slate:
Colin Castleton, Florida ($9,200)
Castleton has at least 32 DraftKings points in all but one game since the restart. One of those was against Georgia, where he put up 35.75 DraftKings points in only 29 minutes. Castleton has at least 39 DraftKings points in three straight games despite getting himself into some foul trouble. The track record is there against Georgia. That was the last game in which he played under 30 minutes and it was only his second game back after a three-week layoff. I expect Castleton to at least flirt with 40 here.
Keve Aluma, Virginia Tech ($8,000)
Aluma has at least 30 DraftKings points in each of the last five games, even topping 40 against Virginia in that span. The Hurricanes had problems with Aluma in the first meeting as well. He put up 30.25 DraftKings points in that one despite the Miami guards controlling the game. Aluma has at least 16 points in five of the last seven games. He's scoring as well as he ever has and the rebounds and blocks are still there. He has a nice ceiling for the price.
Bo Hodges, Butler ($6,500)
What muscle strain? Butler missed a week with a strained muscle, but has picked up right where he left off since his return two games ago. Hodges has at least 26 DraftKings points in five straight games and has now played at least 32 minutes in four straight. He has been one of the best scorers for the Musketeers of late and is a constant double-double threat. You don't often find that in this price range.
George Conditt, Iowa State ($4,300)
Conditt worked his way back into the starting lineup four games ago and responded with 50 DraftKings points in the two games against TCU and Kansas State. Conditt has nine fouls in just 34 minutes of court time (he's no Jalen Suggs, but he's trying!) in the last two games, but has still mustered 27.5 DraftKings points. If Conditt can stay out of foul trouble, he could be in for a big one here. He put up 31.75 DraftKings points against K-State two weeks ago.
Also consider: Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky ($10,000); Jaylin Williams, Arkansas ($8,500); Jared Rhoten, Seton Hall ($8,000); Zach Freemantle, Xavier ($6,600); Alexis Yetna, Seton Hall ($6,000); Moussa Cisse, Oklahoma State ($5,600); Kur Kuath, Marquette ($4,600)
Afternoon Slate:
Paolo Banchero, Duke ($8,600)
Forget his bit of a clunker against Virginia. Banchero still scored 20.25 DraftKings points despite a horrendous 2-for-13 performance from the floor. That means his peripherals were on point as usual. Banchero doesn't have tremendous upside because of the talent on this team, but he seems a lock for 40 here. Syracuse couldn't guard him in the first game. Banchero went for 42.25 DraftKings points in that one. I expect something similar today.
Jayden Gardner, Virginia ($7,400)
Florida State has been pretty solid up front, even with Malik Osborne out of the lineup. I'm a little hesitant to use Gardner, but we can't argue with how well he's played lately. Gardner has at least 27 DraftKings points in every game since January 24. That includes two games against Duke, two against Miami, and tilts with Notre Dame and Virginia Tech. Gardner is the best scorer on this team right now and his rebounding ability can be a difference maker, even against a team like Florida State.
Mouhamed Gueye, Washington State ($5,800)
The inconsistency is frustrating as hell, but Gueye is the type of player that can win you a GPP. He put up 38.25 DraftKings points against this same Washington team this week. That hot on the heels of 7.5 combined DraftKings points in 33 minutes against USC and UCLA. We do see a pattern though. Gueye can dominate smaller teams like this Washington squad. I wouldn't use him in cash, but I'm running him in a GPP or four.
Charles Bediako, Alabama ($4,400)
Bediako has been moved to a bench role of late. While suboptimal, he has been a points-per-minute monster. In his last four games – all off the bench – Bediako has only missed two out of 16 shot attempts and has 84.25 DraftKings points in just 67 minutes of court time. Alabama treats every game as a track meet, so the shots and minutes will be there for Bediako in his newfound bench role. He put up 16 DraftKings points in just 11 minutes against Vandy (he fouled out) this week. Noah Gurley, the guy who stole his starting job, is a great play as well at just $3,600.
