DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/6/21): NBA DFS Lineups

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! It's hard to believe we are already into April. The playoffs are just over six weeks away, and there are many things to figure out before the middle of May. Let's continue to roll into the final third of the 2020-21 regular season with an eight-game schedule to fill our DFS rosters.

Milwaukee versus Golden State will be a trendy game to pick and choose from this evening. It has the highest over/under on the slate (232.5 points) and features two of the fastest-paced units. Other spots I like tonight include the Chicago-Indiana game (226.5 O/U), New Orleans-Atlanta (225.5 O/U), and the Detroit-Denver matchup (222.5 O/U). The Pistons versus Nuggets game is contrarian due to both offenses' slow-paced nature, but it has enough DFS-relevant pieces there to become a nice tournament spot among the eight games.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/6/21. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picks. With COVID-19 a significant factor, remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Lonzo Ball - PG, NO at ATL ($7,500)

Ball returned to the New Orleans lineup on Sunday and was impressive after a seven-game layoff. Against Houston, the fourth-year guard recorded 27 points, nine assists, four rebounds, three steals, and a season-high eight three-pointers. Add all that up, and it came out to 52.5 DraftKings points. The eventual returns of Zion Williamson (thumb) and Brandon Ingram (toe) will cap Ball's ceiling. However, his floor is also higher, with Nickeil Alexander-Walker (ankle) and Josh Hart (thumb) out for extended periods. With significant minutes and a potential usage increase, Ball is an easy play tonight.

Bogdan Bogdanovic - SG/SF, ATL vs NO ($6,200)

The Hawks are on a roll and up to fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. It's coincided with improved production from Bogdanovic as he settles into the Atlanta offense. Before his poor game on Sunday, the fourth-year sharpshooter was averaging 25.3 points on 17.3 shot attempts, with six assists, 5.3 rebounds, two steals, and 5.3 triples in the three games prior. The Hawks are in dire need of any playmaking they can get with John Collins (ankle), De'Andre Hunter (knee), and Cam Reddish (Achillies) on the injury report.

Malachi Flynn - PG, TOR vs. LAL ($3,900)

Fred VanVleet (hip) is questionable at best, and Kyle Lowry (foot) is still on the mend for a few days. These injuries open the door of opportunity for Malachi Flynn to post another big performance tonight. On Friday, the rookie guard posted 33.25 fantasy points with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one three-pointer. Flynn followed that breakout performance with another sterling effort on Monday against the Wizards. His 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals, three blocks, and two triples totaled 43 fantasy points for a 12-times return on his salary. The 22-year old is sitting at $3,900 for the game against the Lakers and will be a lock to return at least five times his value if the Raptor's primary weapons remain on the sidelines.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF/C, MIL at GS ($10,700)

Antetokounmpo is the best player in a DFS goldmine of a contest on Tuesday night. The reigning back-to-back MVP is making his return to the court after a one-game absence over the weekend. His last game, Friday vs. the Trail Blazers, made quite the statement and won many DFS managers some cash to kick off Easter Weekend. Against Portland, Giannis dropped 47 points (18-for-21 FG), 12 rebounds, three blocks, two assists, and one steal. His efficiency was off the chart, and he is making a serious push for that third-straight MVP award. Toss in the fact that Golden State is bottom-10 versus power forwards and the worst defense versus centers over the last 15 games, and Antetokounmpo is the ideal ingredient in the recipe for DFS success.

Michael Porter Jr. - SF/PF, DEN vs. DET ($7,100)

Some people feared that Aaron Gordon's addition to the Nuggets roster would stifle the growth of MPJ, but it's almost been the exact opposite. Porter Jr. is averaging 31.9 fantasy points per game for the season, but since Gordon came aboard, that number is up to 39.25 FPPG. The 2018 first-round pick has reached 20 points in four of his last five games and collected at least 10 rebounds in three of his previous four outings. For the last 15 games, the Pistons have provided middling defense versus the forward positions—nothing to be scared of when selecting a player of Porter's talents. $7,100 is a bit expensive, but if he maintains his averages since the trade deadline, he will return his value five times with a little extra on top.

Draymond Green - PF/C, GS vs. MIL ($6,700)

Green has adapted his role within the Warriors offense to better suit the current roster's talents. It's turned him into more of a creator than in recent seasons, but the positive DFS performances are still rolling along. He's eclipsed 40 fantasy points in five of his last 10 games and has been even more successful in recent games. Over his previous three contests, Green is averaging 12.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists, and three steals per contest. With the high-scoring predictions in tonight's matchup versus Milwaukee, Green will have plenty of chances to continue his impressive distribution numbers.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Nikola Vucevic - C, CHI at IND ($8,700)

Vucevic hasn't been the double-double machine he was in Orlando, but stats will take a hit when you play with more talent. Regardless, Vuc is still playing some great basketball and has a beautiful matchup against the Indiana Pacers. He's playing about four fewer minutes per game in Chicago, but that could be due to a lack of familiarity with the offense so far. Still, he's averaging 20.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3,6 assists, and one block in the Windy City. The two-time All-Start has boosted his efficiency a bit with a 52.6 field-goal percentage compared to his 48 percent on Orlando. Back to the matchup, the Pacers are the fifth-worst defense versus centers over the last 15 games and won't provide much pushback against Vucevic and other members of Chicago's frontcourt.
