DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 2/5/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Round 24 of the EuroLeague season finishes up today with all five scheduled games still going on. Half of yesterday's slate was COVIDed, but the truncated slate landed me on a CSKA stack in a game that went into double overtime. I was one player away from tying for a takedown, but overall I am happy with the results. Let's see if we can keep the good things going today! There's not as many obvious spots, but that can ultimately be better. We shouldn't have to share winnings with anyone if we land on the right line.

We still have a few injuries to keep an eye on here. Berlin and Athens are both going to be thin at guard again. That gives us some much-needed value on this slate. We have a lot of forwards with good matchups, so do we need to punt all three guard slots? We'll investigate this and other goings on in what looks like a fun five gamer to finish off Round 24. Let's get started!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/5/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Kostas Sloukas, Piraeus ($10,100)

It's close for top billing today. Pierria Henry has been more consistent than Sloukas and he posted one of his best games of the season in the first meeting with Real Madrid. So why am I leaning towards Sloukas? It has more to do with the absence of Nihad Nedovic for Athens. That gives Olympiacos a significant leg up in the second battle for supremacy in Greece. Howard Sant-Roos will likely get Sloukas duty and I don't think he can keep Sloukas from doing what he does. Henry probably has the better floor, but I see better upside for Sloukas here.

Kevin Punter, Milan ($8,200)

The Milan guard situation has been a three-headed monster since the return of Sergio Rodriguez. Well, Sergio didn't travel with the team this week for personal reasons, so that puts this back to the Punter and Malcolm Delaney show. It's nice for us DFS players that this happens against a Lyon team that has struggled against guards all season. Delaney is a very good play as well. I chose Punter because I think his ceiling is a little higher. If only playing cash games, I would use Delaney first if the $300 price difference isn't that big of a deal.

Carlos Alocen, Real Madrid ($6,100)

This is the same story as in round 23. Alocen and Sergio Llull are the only Real Madrid guards available that have logged minutes this year. Alocen had a better game than Llull for fantasy purposes in Round 23, and I expect that to be true again. We can mess around with Berlin value at guard, but I prefer Alocen to any of them based on price and guaranteed minutes. Alocen is a priority in any lineup today.

Also consider: Wade Baldwin, Munich ($9,900); Maodo Lo, Berlin ($6,800); Shelvin Mack, Athens ($6,000)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Jalen Reynolds, Munich ($11,000)

I talked up forward in the intro and Reynolds is a big reason why. The big name guards and the most renowned forward were on yesterday's slate. Reynolds is the only guy on this slate that I feel confident can get me 30 no matter what. He doesn't quite have the ceiling of Sloukas or Henry, but I trust him a lot more to produce a better floor and he has a much better matchup. I love the idea of pairing a sure thing in Reynolds with a couple of the high-upside low priced options at guard. That's going to be my core for this slate.

Mateusz Ponitka, St. Petersburg ($8,100)

With the Papa's back for Athens, there is a giant price and production correction in store for Konstantinos Mitoglu. He still performed well with Athens at full strength, but there's no way he's going to pay off that price. Similarly, Baskonia is back to full strength as well and there will be some price correction before I jump on any of their guys again as well. I do like the entire St. Petersburg front in this matchup, but I trust Ponitka more than Arturas Gudaitis, and I have plans for the extra savings. Will Thomas is a solid option too if you need to go cheaper yet.

Gabriel Deck, Real Madrid ($7,100)

Deck has been a bit of an enigma this year. He has had a few great games, but most are uneventful and well below value. That was until Real Madrid suffered a rash of injuries and the defection of Facundo Campazzo to the NBA. Deck has been playing more minutes with the Spaniards short on bodies on the perimeter. Deck has responded with 55.25 DraftKings points over the last two rounds. I'm scarred from many times using Deck when he went for single digits, but that shouldn't happen here. Just keep in mind that Baskonia has allowed the second fewest fantasy points to forwards in the EuroLeague this year.

Also consider: Jan Vesely, Fenerbahce ($10,200); Ben Lammers, Berlin ($7,500); Fabien Causeur, Real Madrid ($5,000)
