DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Lineup Picks for 4/9/21 - Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The last day of the EuroLeague regular season is here. Real Madrid locked up a playoff spot yesterday, leaving just one slot left unclaimed. Valencia took out Vitoria-Gasteiz and are now in the driver's seat. St. Petersburg has a game today and a makeup game on Tuesday. If they lose either of those, Valencia will claim the eight seed. Milan and Munich are still in the hunt for the 4 seed and home court advantage in the first round. If both teams win, Milan gets it. Munich needs a win and a Milan loss to Efes, who is already locked into the 3 seed.

We have plenty of value on this slate with Khimki mailing it in. Alexey Shved has a broken finger and Devin Booker hasn't played since the break, but Janis Timma, Jordan Mickey, and Stefan Jovic are also not going to play in this one. Another blowout is all but assured, but they have to keep players on the court. It's unlikely that Othello Hunter and Kyle Hines will be active in the finale either.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy EuroLeague lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/9/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Guards

Kevin Pangos, St. Petersburg ($9,900)

Efes is already locked into their slot, so they may elect to only play their starters sparingly. If I'm paying up today, it will be for a team that still has something to play for. St. Petersburg has the most to play for, needing to win to stay alive in the playoff discussion. Pangos has at least 20 DraftKings points in every game since the calendar flipped to March and has only missed 25 in two of those. This is a solid matchup that Pangos put up 21.5 DraftKings points in the first time around. He played 27 minutes in the first meeting and has been up over 30 for all of the close games since the beginning of March. Pangos wont break the slate, but he might be my favorite cash game target and has decent GPP upside.

Errick McCollum, Khimki ($8,200)

Well, who else is going to play? Khimki only has three healthy guards. Of those three, McCollum is the only sure thing an even that's no sure thing. Vyacheslav Zaytsev is a full-fledged member of underachievers anonymous despite the increased minutes. I would rather take a flier on Evgeny Voronov than play Zaytsev. McCollum pops because Efes and Barcelona can't move up or down in seeding. There are no guaranteed minutes in those games. McCollum will play at least 30 minutes in this one. He's dangerous, but worth the risk to borrow from Stephen Pearcy.

Chris Jones, Tel Aviv ($5,800)

Jones is still priced as a free space despite double-digit DraftKings points in every game since the beginning of February. He doesn't have a ton of upside with Tel Aviv almost at full strength, but we know that Jones is going to play roughly half the game and be heavily involved with offense while he's out there. Considering that Tel Aviv doesn't really have anything to play for, we may see them give Jones a bit of extra run here. Whatever the case, this price is a gift on the DFS front.

Also consider: Vasilije Micic, Efes ($11,000); Kostas Sloukas, Piraeus ($9,300); Nick Weiler-Babb, Munich ($6,700); Vassilis Spanoulis, Piraeus ($5,500)

DraftKings EuroLeague DFS Forwards

Sasha Vezenkov, Piraeus ($10,800)

Nikola Mirotic only played 23 minutes last round in a close game. Chalk that up to Barcelona having the top seed already locked away. I would guess that Mirotic's minutes are limited again, so I'm going to the next best thing. Vezenkov is going to dominate the gutted Khimki squad. I could see him putting up massive numbers here so long as they leave him in long enough. Even if Vezenkov only plays about 25 minutes, I could see him clearing 30 DraftKings points. That's good enough for me to spend on.

Mateusz Ponitka, St. Petersburg ($8,700)

Ponitka has been playing right around 30 minutes in every game that has been close for St. Petersburg since the end of February. This should be another one of those. Ponitka put up 32.75 DraftKings points on Tel Aviv in the first meeting in 31 minutes of court time. I would expect today's total to be right around that number. I think I would trust him more than Vezenkov in cash games. The upside is good enough to utilize in GPP formats too. This is a game that St. Petersburg needs, so they should run Ponitka as long as he's effective. The upside is higher than usual today.

Sergey Karasev, Khimki ($5,300)

Karasev was the first guy in my lineup. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in three straight rounds and four of the last five. He's one of the few that Khimki can lean on right now. DraftKings really messed up with the pricing here. Karasev is going to blow past value once again. It's only a matter of time before he logs his first double-double. I wouldn't be shocked if that happens today. Even if it doesn't, Karasev is a lock for 20+ at a very low price. You need this kind of bargain in any build.

Also consider: Vladimir Lucic, Munich ($9,500); Brandon Davies, Barcelona ($7,800); Sertac Sanli, Efes ($7,300); Dragan Bender, Tel Aviv ($7,200)
