Welcome back my fellow RotoBallers to our free daily article for MLB DFS lineup picks and value plays. It's Sunday and although things are sometimes different on Sunday, it has always been one of my more profitable days. This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/12/2022, Main Slate at 1:35 pm Eastern Time.
The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is 10 games on DraftKings and FanDuel with a lot of different routes one can go with lineup construction and tournament strategy.

Today's MLB Weather Outlook
Something that need not be overlooked is the weather. Stacking a team in a rainout or rostering a pitcher in a favorable matchup with forecasted weather in the middle of the game can be devastating. Today, we have several games with forecasted rain that could still play, so check the forecast before your lineups lock. These games are: Arizona @ Philadelphia, Cubs @ Yankees, Brewers @ Nationals, Blue Jays @ Tigers.
DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Kyle Wright- P, ATL vs. PIT ($10,100 DK, $10,500 FD)
Atlanta is a -250 favorite in this game. Wright has a 27.2% strikeout rate, a 4.0% walk rate, and a 3.39 SIERA. Pittsburgh has the second-highest strikeout rate in baseball (25.4%), the seventh-lowest ISO (.132), and has scored the second-fewest runs in baseball. Wright is my favorite cash game play today but you could throw it out there in tournaments as well if you differentiate your bats.
Justin Verlander- P, HOU vs. MIA ($10,500 DK, $10,900 FD)
Justin Verlander is putting up another good season. He has a 27.0% strikeout rate, a 5.2% walk rate, and a 3.22 SIERA. He is facing the Marlins, who have the ninth-highest strikeout rate (23.6%), 14th-highest ISO (.154), and have scored the 14th-most runs. Verlander is putting up similar numbers as Wright but facing an average offense instead of a terrible one. Because he is more expensive than Wright, Verlander is a GPP-only play for me today.
Jeffrey Springs - P, TAM vs. MIN ($7,700 DK, $8,800 FD)
Springs continues to be cheaper than he should be. He has a 26.8% strikeout rate, a 6.0% walk rate, and a 3.20 SIERA. They are pretty close numbers to the other two pitchers above, but he is significantly less. Minnesota is a top-10 offense in the league in runs scored, ISO, and third in OBP. They are a pretty good offense but not an elite offense. Tampa Bay is favored in this game and Springs is putting up good numbers. That makes him a viable value play as an SP2 in cash on DraftKings or to use as a value SP in a tournament on FanDuel.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Yandy Diaz- 3B, TB vs. Cole Sands ($4,100 DK, $2,800 FD)
Yandy Diaz is an expensive play on DraftKings and a value play on FanDuel. He is a better play on FanDuel for sure. He will not hit for power, but he has a .411 OBP facing a pitcher with a .327 average against and a 10.3% walk rate. On DraftKings, if looking to spend down, a Tyler Nevin ($2.3K) is a viable punt if he is in the starting lineup.
Luis Urias - SS, MIL vs. Paolo Espino ($3,400 DK, $2,800 FD)
Urias continues to have a tough year. Paolo Espino isn't a bad pitcher, but he has a low strikeout rate compared to others on the slate. With where he bats in the order and the opportunity to go against a bad Nationals bullpen, he could put up some fantasy points at a value. There is some rain in the forecast so double-check before locking in Urias. If looking to spend up, Bobby Witt Jr. ($5.5K DK ||$3.6K FD) is my favorite option at shortstop there.
Whit Merrifield- 2B, KCR vs. Dean Kremer ($4,700 DK, $3,000 FD)
Dean Kremer is not a good pitcher: 4.31 SIERA, 15.8% strikeout rate, allowing 2.08 HR/9. The Royals should have a good day at the plate. Why not take the guy that is leading things off for them? Now Merrifield is having a down year with a .229 batting average and just seven stolen bases. His price is pretty steep on DraftKings for that kind of production. I'd prefer a Nolan Gorman ($3.7K) or Ezequiel Duran ($2.2K) on DraftKings instead. I would leave the Royals on DraftKings for tournament stacking.
Joey Votto- 1B, CIN vs. Dakota Hudson ($4,400 DK, $3,200 FD)
Dakota Hudson and his 4.92 SIERA are the worst on the slate. Joey Votto has been picking it up lately (.460 wOBA and .390 ISO in the last four weeks), and the entire Cincinnati Reds team is in a good spot here today against the Cardinals. If looking for a less expensive option on DraftKings, Ryan Mountcastle ($3.4K) is a decent pivot against Brad Keller.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Anthony Santander- OF, BAL vs. Brad Keller ($3,800 DK, $3,000 FD)
Brad Keller is one of the worst pitchers on the slate and this should be a high-scoring game in general. Santander is likely to bat third and has a .330 wOBA and .180 ISO against right-handed pitchers this season.
Jesus Sanchez- OF, MIA vs. Justin Verlander ($3,700 DK, $2,800 FD)
Some may find it crazy to recommend a batter against Verlander today but the Sanchez is at a good price in this one. Verlander's Achilles heel is giving up the long ball. He gives up the third-most home runs on this slate (1.13 HR/9), and Sanchez has a .350 wOBA and .270 ISO against right-handed pitching this season. He could very well go 0-4 and give you zero fantasy points but he is an interesting GPP value play.
Tyler O'Neill- OF, STL vs. Graham Ashcraft ($3,200 DK, $2,700 FD)
Tyler O'Neill has been disappointing but he has also been hurt. In the last week, he has had a .370 wOBA and .180 ISO. He should be batting in the middle of the order for a Cardinals team implied for 4.6 runs. While Ashcraft isn't a bad pitcher, the Cincinnati bullpen has the highest ERA in baseball (5.16) and has allowed the fourth-most home runs.
DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks
Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:
Cincinnati Reds - Dakota Hudson has the highest SIERA on the slate at 4.96 and has a 3.8% K-BB%. Yes, it is a bad offense, but I still want to go against arguably the worst pitcher on the slate.
Baltimore Orioles- Brad Keller is always someone I want to pick on: 4.73 SIERA, 6.2% K-BB%. The Royals have the third-worst bullpen ERA when Keller comes out of the game.
Texas Rangers- Michael Kopech got some hype and while his strikeout rate is 25%, his walk rate is 12%. He has a 4.34 SIERA but is only allowing 0.35 HR/9, making me prefer a stack over one-off plays here.
Kansas City Royals - Dean Kremer has a 4.31 SIERA, a 10.5% K-BB%, and is allowing 2.08 HR/9. Witt-Perez-Melendez is an interesting core for a stack.
Atlanta Braves- Jose Quintana has a 4.19 SIERA and a 11.8% K-BB%. He is not the worst pitcher on the slate by any means, but Atlanta is so good, it's going to be a warm day there, and so they have to be mentioned.
