We have a very rare two-game slate Thursday night, which naturally serves to completely change the usual dynamic behind DFS lineup construction. The very narrow player pool coupled with the fact four star-laden clubs are taking the floor make it particularly important to be selective on high-salary options and hit on the right mid-salary and value plays.
Because there's an overall scarcity on players at each position that offer the right combination of salary and upside, I'll be reducing the options at each spot to three overall per spot, with two written up in detail.
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/10/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.
DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
James Harden - PG/SG, PHI vs. BKN ($10,400 DK; $10,200 FD)
Harden gets his first crack at the team he most recently departed, a Nets squad that's allowing over 44 fantasy points per game to two-guards over the last 15. Brooklyn is also yielding the second-highest offensive efficiency to shooting guards on the season (23.9 percent), while Harden is averaging 24.6 points, 12.4 assists, 7.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals in his first five games in Philadelphia while shooting a blistering 53.1 percent overall. In what is likely to turn into a wire-to-wire affair with no shortage of motivation for any of the star players involved, Harden seems like one of the safest options on the two-game ledger.
Moses Moody - SG, GSW at DEN ($3,500 DK; $4,300 FD)
Moody makes for one of those intriguing value options that will be necessary to roster if trying to jam as many stars into a lineup as possible. The rookie has been impressive with extended opportunity in the last two games, putting up 20.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in that span while scoring over 25 fantasy points on each site in both contests. With Gary Payton II (knee) already ruled out Thursday, Moody could draw another start at two-guard and will face a Nuggets team allowing an elevated 37.6 percent three-point shooting in the last three games.
Also consider: Kyrie Irving, PG/SG, BKN at PHI ($9,900 DK; $9,700 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Kevin Durant - SF/PF, BKN at PHI ($10,300 DK, $10,400 FD)
Durant is the obvious choice if you're going to invest heavy resources at forward, with KD already putting up over 30 points in two of his first three games since returning from his knee injury and shooting 50.9 percent over the entirety of that span. Durant is also averaging over 60 fantasy points on each site in three games versus the 76ers this season, a sample in which he's shot 51.5 percent. Additionally, Philadelphia is ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency allowed to power forwards (25.6 percent) and is surrendering over 43 fantasy points per game to fours in the last 15.
Jonathan Kuminga - SF/PF, GSW at DEN ($4,300 DK; $5,100 FD)
Much like Moody, Kuminga is another Warriors rookie who's making good use of some extra run. In Kuminga's case, he's got a more extensive body of work, having put up a solid 14.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per 25.3 minutes in his last 15 games while shooting 57.4 percent overall. The floor-spacing big man has scored in double digits in 13 of those contests as well, and the Nuggets come in allowing the 10th-highest offensive efficiency to second-unit players (41.7 percent) along with more than 46 fantasy points per game to power forwards for the season.
Also consider: Bruce Brown, SF, BKN at PHI ($5,100 DK, $6,900 FD)
DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Nikola Jokic - DEN vs. GSW ($11,200 DK; $11,400 FD)
Jokic is averaging a whopping 68.9 DK points per game in three previous encounters with the Warriors this season, a figure built on averages of 29.7 points, 17.0 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.7 steals across 34.5 minutes per outing. Jokic is averaging over 60 fantasy points per home game on each site as well, and while Golden State has had some success containing centers this season, they've been significantly worse lately while allowing 65.3 DK/62.8 FD points per game to the position in the last seven games.
Joel Embiid - PHI vs. BKN ($10,800 DK; $10,800 FD)
Embiid is certainly a fine pivot if you need to save a few hundred on either site off Jokic, as he essentially carries as much upside and faces a big man he's frequently thrived against in the past in Andre Drummond. Embiid has also averaged over 50 fantasy points on an average of 31 minutes in three previous games against Brooklyn this season, and he's putting up 56.1 DK points per game at home for the season. The Nets have also been struggling some against fives recently, surrendering over 57 fantasy points per game on each site to centers in the last 15 games.
Also consider: Andre Drummond, BKN at PHI ($5,700 DK; $5,600 FD)
