FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (11/15/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Hockey fans can catch up on some sleep tonight, as all five games occur in the East with 7 pm or 7:30 pm start times. The two highest totals of 6.5 will happen in Toronto and Ottawa, as Boston visits the Leafs and Philadelphia visits the Senators. In Columbus, St.Louis visits the Blue Jackets to take part in the projected lowest-scoring game of the night, as it comes in with a total of 5.5.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/15/19. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @Roto_Nate.

DFS Forwards to Consider

Jean-Gabriel Pageau - C, OTT vs PHI (FD - $5,400, DK - $6,200)

Pageau has been on fire as of late, increasing his trade-stock as rumors begin to circulate that he could be on the move out of Ottawa. Pageau has scored goals in five of his last six games, accumulating a total of eight over that span. While Philadelphia's goaltending hasn't struggled as much as in past years, Vegas projects for the Senators to score at least three goals in this matchup, and with their lack of talent, it would be a safe bet that Pageau can be apart of at least one of those goals.

Evgeni Malkin - C, PIT vs NJ  (FD - $8,200, DK - $6,800)

I was high on Sidney Crosby when Malkin had to leave the lineup with an injury because the duo always seems to step it up when the other is out, so it's now time to run it back with Malkin as Crosby sits on the sidelines for the next six weeks. Malkin has been on a tear recently regardless, tallying points in four straight games while never playing more than 18 minutes. It's safe to say that he will see an uptick in ice-time as he takes over first-line center duties, and should be in a good spot to contribute against the Devils who are allowing 3.53 goals per game.

Also, Consider:

  • The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs face off in a game set at a total of 6.5, and a pick-em, in terms of who Vegas thinks will win. Since it is always a mystery as to how the games between these two teams will turn out, I am struggling to lean a certain way. If mass multi-entering, I would have shares of both of the top lines in this game, as both starting goaltenders have been struggling as of late. I am high on David Pastrnak in this matchup, as he has gone through a bit of a cold-streak and always seems to break out against the Leafs. You can't go wrong with a combination of him, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and Torey Krug in this game. On the Leafs side, Auston Matthews has ten points over his last five games, while Nylander has also chipped in seven over that time, as they are now leaned on more heavily in the Leafs offense with Mitch Marner out of the lineup. However, be wary that both players have been known to become invisible against the Bruins.

DFS Defenders to Consider

John Carlson - D, WSH vs MON (FD - $7,200, DK - $7,900)

After cooling off for a short period, Carlson has regained his elite scoring pace, tallying points in four straight games for a total of seven points. The Canadiens have the fourth-worst penalty-kill in the league, coming in at a 73.7% succession rate, which as we know, spells trouble against the elite Washington powerplay. There are so many high-priced players in good spots tonight that it will be tough to decide which ones to spend our salary on, however, Carlson has been one of the safest bets all season.

Colton Parayko - D, STL vs CBJ (FD - $4,600, DK - $4,600)

Parayko offers a bit of salary relief on this slate, as he is one of the highest-scoring fantasy defensemen on the slate over the past five games. His spot on the top powerplay line in St.Louis sets him up to easily exceed fantasy value tonight, as the Blues should be able to generate tons of offense against a weak Columbus backend.

DFS Goalie to Consider

Jordan Binnington - G, STL vs CBJ (FD - $8,300, DK - $8,200)

As usual, my goalie will come from the lowest total game of the night, as St.Louis visits Columbus as the favorites in a game set at 5.5. Binnington has been on fire as of late, boasting a record of 7-1-2 over his last ten starts, and allowing only 21 goals in that time. The Blue Jackets are the lowest-scoring team in the league, only managing 2.3 goals per game, setting Binnington up for another big night between the pipes.
