Tuesday features 13 games in all with a spotlight on games like Philadelphia and Florida, Vegas and Toronto, plus even Edmonton and San Jose again.
Remember, when looking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. There are at least seven games at 6.5, as that has become the new norm in hockey now.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/19/19. DFS Forwards to Consider
Jack Eichel - C, BUF vs MIN (FD - $7,900, DK - $7,500)
Eichel is shooting in bunches in his last three games with five goals on 16 shots in all. He has 29 attempts on the net as well. The key for Eichel is to keep on shooting and Minnesota is a team that could be tailor-made for a good performance on Tuesday night. The center's price is below the highest-expected performers of the slate which means he might go a little under the radar. Minnesota yields 3.69 goals a game on the road with below-average goaltending.
David Pastrnak - W, BOS vs NJ (FD - $9,000, DK - $8,400)
The winger keeps going and has another great matchup against the New Jersey Devils. New Jersey is a team that does not perform well against Boston. They have dropped 24 of their previous 30 meetings including three out of four last year. Pastrnak averages over a point a game against the Devils and New Jersey has a penalty kill of less than 75% at home while yielding 3.5 goals per game on 34 shots per 60 at home. This game has a ton of intrigue but not just from the Boston end of the equation.
Also, Consider:
- Connor McDavid, Evgeni Malkin, and even Auston Matthews could be viable plays on Tuesday night.
- Leon Draisaitl, Filip Forsberg, Patrick Kane, and Evander Kane are also in plus-matchup situations on this nice slate.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Roman Josi - D, NSH vs WPG (FD - $6,800, DK - $6,800)
Josi goes up against a Winnipeg team that allows the sixth-most DFS points to defensemen. That number jumps up to fourth on the road. The Nashville defenseman is hitting bonuses left and right of late. Also, he has 11 points in his last ten games on 36 shots (70 shot attempts). Nashville has lost four straight games but players like Josi are still thriving offensively. Expect more of that to continue on Tuesday as the scoring chances roll on both sides in Nashville.
Alex Edler - D, VAN vs DAL (FD - $5,300, DK - $6,100)
Edler is among those swiss-army knife defensemen that one needs in fantasy hockey (and especially DFS). Edler frequently hits the shots blocked bonus on DraftKings which adds to his floor. He has hit that bonus in three of his last four starts. Also, this is a good matchup against a Dallas team that is shooting way more in its last 8-10 games. That means more opportunities for blocked shots for Edler. Vancouver can also provide sneaky amounts of offense in this game and will be lower owned. Oskar Klefbom of Edmonton is at a similar price in a wide-open game against San Jose.
Also, Consider:
- Cale Makar enjoys a plus-matchups and is very reasonably priced due to category filling potential.
- Charlie McAvoy and Quinn Hughes are solid, value plays on Tuesday night along with Radim Simek. Also, do keep in mind McAvoy will be moderately owned at least because of the matchup against New Jersey. HINT: look at Zdeno Chara for value instead and lower ownership.
DFS Goalie to Consider
Carey Price - G, MTL vs CLB (FD - $8,800, DK - $8,200)
The thought process was to look at a goalie who faces a team that can shoot the puck a ton. Columbus fits that bill and fired 35 shots on Price at home last Tuesday. The feeling is that this could very well happen again. In that game, Price stopped 33 shots and got the win. The goalie is 7-2-1 over his last ten starts while facing nearly 33 shots per 60 so those odds are in his favor of coming close to the save bonus on Tuesday night.
Also, Consider:
- The other good GPP choices on Tuesday night include Tuukka Rask (31 save shutout versus NJ earlier this season) and Robin Lehner (who sees 35+ shots routinely for Chicago). Lehner is lower priced on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
