FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (4/27/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

karl-anthony towns NBA DFS lineup picks fanduel draftkings daily fantasy basketball

It's a lighter night in the Association with only six games going on. Of those dozen teams, we'll be lucky to have 100 active players with the way the NBA is going this year. We already know that His Beardness is still out. Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis, John Wall, Kemba Walker, and Chris Boucher are all joining him in street clothes. We also have about three dozen more questionable players to sort through before tipoff. NBA DFS in the last fortnight of regular season play is not for the faint of heart.

Dallas, Oklahoma City, Minnesota, and Toronto are all playing the second night of a back-to-back set, so watch those teams closely. Luka was questionable heading into last night and ended up playing anyway. Keep a close eye on his elbow.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/27/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kyrie Irving, PG – at Tampa-ronto ($10,200)

Kyrie has 168.8 FanDuel points over the last three games. He is filling the James Harden role very well of late, even though he isn't quite the rebounder that His Beardness is. Irving is picking up all of the scoring slack and still managing to dish out double-digit assists. We have never really seen Kyrie carry a team like this before. I'll ride it while it's still going. Kevin Durant's return seems to have had a positive effect on Irving so far. That should continue against a tired (of tanking) Raptors team.

Malcolm Brogdon, PG – vs. Portland ($8,500)

The Indiana frontcourt is still a M*A*S*H* unit, so the production has fallen to the guards. Both Brogdon and Caris Levert are putting up some big games with Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Goga Bitadze out. Goga's return isn't really going to adversely affect the guards here. Brogdon's role as distributor gives him a bit of a higher ceiling that LeVert, but I have no issues running both of them together. Portland still doesn't defend the perimeter all that well. The arrival of Norman Powell has helped, but he'll guard LeVert. That's even more of a reason to lean towards Brogdon tonight.

Armoni Brooks, SG – vs. Minnesota ($4,100)

Brooks is playing a lot of minutes, but that hasn't translated to a lot of fantasy points. At least not yet. It could here against Minnesota. John Wall is done for the year, and Houston's goose has been cooked for a couple of months already. They're going to give Brooks plenty of run to see if he's worth keeping around for their impending rebuild. Houston does have a couple of exciting young players and Brooks has looked like he might be one of them. Then he inexplicably disappears while on the court at times. For this low of a price, he's worth the risk against a team like Minnesota.

Also consider: Stephen Curry ($9,700), Jrue Holiday ($7,700), D'Angelo Russell ($6,400), Ty Jerome ($4,000)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kevin Durant, SF – at Tampa-ronto ($9,700)

K.D.'s return went swimmingly as he racked up 54.2 FanDuel points against Phoenix. The Suns have actually played good defense for much of the season. To see Durant do that against a team like the Suns gave me the vote of confidence that I needed to run him again. This is a great matchup against Tampa. Even though Durant will likely still only play around 30 minutes, he can do a ton of damage in that time. He doesn't have the ceiling of Giannis, but Durant is also $1,300 less. If the Bucks blow out Charlotte, they'll both get about the same amount of court time.

P.J. Washington, PF – vs. Milwaukee ($7,200)

I'll lean towards Washington over Darius Bazley on the back end of a back-to-back set. Charlotte is now at the point where they are playing their young guys together to see who fits together and who doesn't. Washington has looked like one of the guys they can build around. He has at least 40 FanDuel points in three of the last five games since returning from an ankle sprain. If Charlotte can keep this game close, we could see another strong game from Washington. We should anyway with Charlotte right in the thick of the playoff hunt.

Doug McDermott, PF – vs. Portland ($3,800)

McDermott wont break a slate, but he has been hitting the 20's in FanDuel points with Sabonis out. On a night where were are going to need some value, we can do worse than Dougie. He has good upside since he can score in a hurry. He's a tall J.J. Redick. That's what you can expect when rolling McDermott out there. He'll haul in a few rebounds, but that's mostly an accident. He's out there to catch and shoot from beyond the arc.

Also consider: Giannis Antetokounmpo  ($11,000), Christian Wood ($7,700), Oshae Brissett ($5,600), Khem Birch ($4,900)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns – at Houston ($9,700)

KAT has put up some big numbers against Houston this year. 56 points, 31 rebounds, 12 assists, three blocks, and a steal in 68 minutes over two games to be exact. That comes out to 114.2 FanDuel points. Don't be shocked if Towns gets close to 60 against Houston again here.

Jusuf Nurkic – at Indiana ($8,200)

Nurkic just got done feasting on a Memphis interior that was missing players. Now he gets to head to Indiana where their bigs are decimated due to injury as well. Nurkic has 111.2 DraftKings points over the last two games despite playing a combined 58 minutes. The Blazers still wont play Nurkic more than 30 minutes, so his ceiling is limited. However, when he's dropping 50's for this price, it doesn't feel all that limited. He's an interesting GPP alternate to Towns.

Also consider: Kelly Olynyk ($6,000), DeAndre Jordan ($5,200), Kevon Looney ($3,900)
