On the final day of the regular season, there will undoubtedly be a ton of chaos. With some teams having nothing left to gain or lose on Sunday, expect more inactive players than usual. Since so many value options are available, fantasy managers may end up with more cap space, but that’s alright.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/16/21. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards
Damian Lillard, PG - vs. DEN ($9,900)
Lillard should see a full workload on Sunday evening against the Nuggets as the Trail Blazers look to lock up the final spot in the Western Conference playoff picture. He hasn't played the best against Denver this season, but we will give him a free pass, primarily since Denver will be missing some key players on the defensive end.
Hamidou Diallo, SG - vs. MIA ($7,200)
Detroit ran with only eight players in its last outing against Denver. With the team's injury report looking even worse on Sunday, Diallo has a chance to make a dent on the fantasy end. He led the team with 18 points on 18 shot attempts against the Nuggets while also racking up 12 boards, two blocks, and a steal for good measure.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG - vs. LAL ($6,800)
The Pelicans will be without its top offensive options on the final game of the regular season, so the door should be open for others to benefit. Alexander-Walker took 24 shots against the Warriors the other night, nearly double the amount of the team's second-highest shot taker, Naji Marshall. Alexander-Walker should see plenty of looks at the rim against the Lakers, so fantasy managers should keep him on the radar.

LeBron James, SF - @ NOP ($10,100)
The Lakers still have a chance at avoiding the play-in tournament and have a good shot at doing so against the Pelicans. James made his return on Sunday against the Pacers after a six-game layoff due to his nagging ankle issue and finished with 24 points, eight assists, and seven boards throughout 28 minutes. The King should see some more action against New Orleans. However, if this one turns into a blowout, it may compromise his fantasy output.
Kristaps Porzingis, PF - @ MIN ($7,000)
Porzingis recently rejoined the lineup after missing some time due to a sore knee. However, he could end up easily surpassing his value against Minnesota on the final day of the regular season. The unicorn had a double-double against the Raptors on Friday night, and with Maxi Kleber unlikely to play, Porzingis should see enough minutes to make a difference.
Nicolas Claxton, PF - vs. CLE ($4,400)
Although Brooklyn would love to take home a win in the regular-season finale, the team won't lose much if they don't. With Joe Harris out with a glute issue, Claxton may benefit once again, just like he did on Saturday against Chicago. He has hit at least 28.6 fantasy points in each of his last three games, so it's not out of the question for him to crush his value on Sunday against Cleveland.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Nikola Jokic, C - @ POR ($10,700)
Jokic only received 26 minutes against the Pistons on Sunday. However, with more at stake on Sunday, he should see his usual workload. The 26-year-old has played well against Portland this year, averaging 33 points to go along with seven boards and five assists.
