FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (6/8/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The two game sets are the norm at this stage of the playoffs. Tonight we have the first game of the Western Conference semis between the Clippers and the Jazz. Atlanta tries to steal a second game in Philly before heading back south.

Embiid is still listed as questionable despite playing 38 minutes in Game 1. I would guess he plays, but keep an eye on this situation. Mike Conley is questionable after playing just 12 minutes against Memphis in the clincher before leaving with a hamstring injury. De'Andre Hunter is also a true game-time decision. Serge Ibaka and Cam Reddish are the only two that we know for sure are out.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/8/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Donovan Mitchell, SG – vs. Clippers ($9,000)

Mitchell put up 52.2 FanDuel points in just 29 minutes in the clincher against Memphis. If Mike Conley misses this game, Mitchell is the only Jazz guard I'll lean on. He is the de-facto point guard with Conley off the court and he still scores his usual amount of points. If Conley plays, this becomes a little tougher of a decision. Still, Mitchell is a lock for 30 real points. He should be able to get enough peripherals to put him well over 5x value.

Ben Simmons, PG – vs. Atlanta ($8,600)

Simmons has been strong all playoffs long. He put up 46.8 FanDuel points in Game 1 against the Hawks, and that was with only recording four rebounds, his lowest total since May 14. Simmons is one of the few guys that is a triple-double threat every night. His ceiling might even be higher than Young's, but we've seen how low the floor can be. He hasn't reached that floor in the playoffs so far though. Maybe Simmons is finally safe enough to deploy with confidence.

Reggie Jackson, PG – at Utah ($4,800)

The production for Jackson in Game 7 against Dallas was a bit of a disappointment after his huge games in 5 and 6, but he still played 28 minutes. That means Jackson is still getting most of the minutes at the point for the Clippers. How many times is he only going to have one assist in 28 minutes? That fluke stat was the only outlier from the rest of the series. I like Jackson a lot for this price.

Also consider: Trae Young ($10,200), Bodgan Bogdanovic ($6,800), Jordan Clarkson ($5,800), Seth Curry ($5,200)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kawhi Leonard, SF – at Utah ($11,000)

Kawhi hit 5x value at this price in all but one game in the Dallas series. FanDuel is ahead of the curve here. Leonard is priced right about where he should be. He can still hit 60+ on any given night, but he's not priced where he easily hits 6x value every time. We actually have to think about it here. Considering his body of work in the playoffs, we have to at least consider him here even though his numbers against Utah this year were rather pedestrian.

Royce O'Neale, PF – vs. Clippers ($5,500)

O'Neale helped close out the Mavericks with 72.5 FanDuel points over the last two games of the series. That's not a sustainable pace for O'Neale. It was bolstered by seven steals in the last two games. However, the rest of his numbers in those games are sustainable. O'Neale is nothing exciting, but he should be good for between 5 and 6x value here.

Danilo Gallinari, SF – at Philadelphia ($4,500)

Gallo has been cold from the floor of late. Of course, only playing 17 minutes in each of the last two games doesn't help. However, if Hunter is out again, I like the potential of Gallinari for the price. He got hot for a couple of games against the Knicks. When he did, the Hawks left him in there and he was a superb value for the price. I wouldn't touch him in a cash lineup, but the price is right for a GPP dart.

Also consider: Tobias Harris ($8,800), Nicolas Batum ($5,600), Marcus Morris ($5,300), Bojan Bogdanovic ($5,400)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid – vs. Atlanta ($10,500)

There have been strong hints that Embiid was not 100% in Game 1. He sure looked like it to me. He led the Sixers with 38 minutes and 39 points. If Embiid put up 63.8 FanDuel points and still wasn't at full strength, he's a lock here. There's some chatter that Philly might hold him out to make sure the knee injury doesn't linger, but the only way I see that happening is in-game if the Sixers get way up or way down. They really can't afford to lose both games at home, so I expect Embiid to be in there.

Rudy Gobert – vs. Clippers ($8,800)

Gobert cleared 50 FanDuel points a couple of times in the Memphis series. He usually doesn't flash that kind of upside. Rudy was solid but unspectacular in all three games against the Clippers this year. However, with Serge Ibaka still out, I tend to think that Zubac isn't much of a deterrent for Gobert if he wants to have his way in this game.

Also consider: Clint Capela ($7,600), Ivica Zubac ($4,100)
