FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (9/19/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The Miami Heat are the real deal. They swept the Indiana Pacers in Round 1, and then they disposed of the Milwaukee Bucks in five games with ease. A win over the Boston Celtics tonight will put them within one game of the NBA Finals, but it feels like they are still not getting the respect they deserve. Still, they have some excellent fantasy contributors, and they are an entertaining team to watch despite not being as superstar-driven as most championship contenders. The Celtics won't go down without a fight, though, and fans should expect another close battle in tonight's crucial Game 3.

The only big injury news is whether Gordon Hayward will return to the court and take some minutes away from his teammates. Hayward hasn't played in a game since August 17, and it seems hard to believe that he would be given a significant role in his first game back. Still, Boston is looking for any spark to get themselves back in the series, and maybe Hayward can provide a new look for a team on the brink of going down 3-0.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/19/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @EuanOrYouOut. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Tyler Herro, SG - MIA vs. BOS ($10,000)

Herro has been a hero for the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, but his price is still lower than expected heading into tonight's Game 3. The guard is averaging the most fantasy points per game over his last five games between the two teams at 33.96 points. However, he is the seventh most-expensive player for the Single Game contest on Saturday. Herro has shown his versatility in this round, where he nearly had a triple-double in Game 1 with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Get the rookie on your team and

Marcus Smart, SG - BOS vs. MIA ($9,500)

Fantasy players may be fading Smart tonight with news that Gordon Hayward is questionable and may return for Game 3. However, that shouldn't scare them off too much as Smart has worked hard and earned himself a significant role on this team, and Hayward would be playing in his first game since August 17. Smart's 23.77 FPPG over his last 10 games is fourth among all players tonight, but he comes in as the ninth most expensive option. The guard is a major bang for your buck play, and he should be started with confidence as the Celtics look to get back in the series and keep their playoff hopes alive.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Jayson Tatum, PF - BOS vs. MIA ($16,000)

Tatum is the choice for the MVP slot in tonight's Single Game contest. The third-year forward has been lights out in the playoffs despite a disappointing outing in Game 2. Over his last 10 games, Tatum is averaging 40.52 FPPG, and that puts him a whole eight points ahead of Bam Adebayo on tonight's slate. For the entire playoffs, the 22-year-old is averaging 25.3 points, 10 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.2 blocks, one steal, and 2.7 made threes per game. He can win a contest on any given night as he has produced at least 55 fantasy points in three of his last four games.

Bam Adebayo, PF - MIA vs. BOS ($15,000)

We may be witnessing the rise of the best young center in today's game, and he is taking over this series. Adebayo is averaging 19.5 points, eight rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks over the first two games while the Boston Celtics struggle to find answers to stop him. The big man has scored at least 44 fantasy in six of his last eight games and is having on a postseason breakout that daily players have enjoyed for a couple of months.

Jae Crowder, SF - MIA vs. BOS ($9,500)

Crowder was a massive factor in Game 1 of this series when he scored a playoff-high 22 points for the Miami Heat. In Game 2, he came back and added 12 more points along with four rebounds, two assists, and three steals. The forward has been producing outstanding returns on his value the entire postseason, and it should continue tonight. He has knocked down at least three shots from downtown in the last seven games and is averaging 15.3 points on 42.9 percent three-point shooting. The eight-year veteran has a concrete floor for fantasy managers because of his sharp shooting skills and ability to contribute in other categories when necessary.
