Another week of NFL football, and another week with a funky schedule! We have a two-game slate today (and another game tomorrow) as the Steelers-Ravens game that got pushed to Wednesday last week forced the NFL to move both of their games this week up.
I suppose we shouldn't complain too much, and if anything it gives us another chance to play NFL DFS other than our usual main slates on Sundays or showdowns on Thursdays and Monday nights. Today's games are pretty interesting matchups and have some pretty big playoff implications for all the teams involved (even the Steelers need to keep winning to stay ahead of the Chiefs for home-field advantage in the AFC).
In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 13 Monday slate daily fantasy football lineup picks on FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. Week 13 NFL DFS Monday Slate
5:00 PM EST: Washington (+6.6) @ Pittsburgh (43.5 O/U)
8:15 PM EST: San Francisco (-1) @ Buffalo (+10) @ (47.5 O/U)
FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks
Josh Allen vs. SF ($8,900)
The Bills are likely going to have to air it out in this one, and therefore Allen is likely going to be asked to throw closer to 40 times as he has in five other games this season instead of the 24 times he did last week. The Niners have a solid run defense, and the Bills run game is lacking so Buffalo's fortunes tonight probably rest on the right arm (and legs) of their quarterback. Allen is one of the more mobile QBs in the league so while this price is steep, his upside is there if he is able to run one in himself tonight, too.
Ben Roethlisberger vs. WAS ($7,700)
I don't see a need to pay down at QB on this slate at all with the way that FanDuel has priced it. You should be able to fit Allen or Big Ben and any pieces you want without a problem. Heck, you may even have some salary left over. Ben threw it 51 times last week against the Ravens, and like I have been saying for the last month - the Steelers have no real problem with him doing it since they are short, quick passes and he's not taking hits. With Washington's run defense being a pretty respectable unit, I expect the Steelers to continue their pass-first ways tonight.
FanDuel DFS Running Backs
Raheem Mostert @ BUF ($7,100)
Mostert stepped right back into the lead back role for the Niners last week and led the backfield in touches with 18. He only managed 45 yards but had a much tougher matchup against the Rams Defense and did get in the end zone. He's easily the best back on this slate as he'll face a Buffalo defense that ranks 22nd in run DVOA and allowed 129 scrimmage yards to Austin Ekeler last week. Mostert is not that great in the passing game but is the goalline back and has a great shot at a rushing TD here.
Benny Snell Jr. vs. WAS ($6,700)
With James Conner out against this week, Snell should get another chance at being the lead back for the Steelers. He had 16 carries and three catches last week, totaling 93 yards but didn't get in the end zone. He should continue to see the bulk of the work for the Steelers as Anthony McFarland has failed to do much with his touches.
FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers
Stefon Diggs vs. SF ($8,100)
None of the Bills receivers have great matchups, but I will take my chances here with Josh Allen's favorite target against Niners' corner Jason Verrett. Digg had a season-low 39 yards last week on seven catches but continues to rack up targets every week as he had nine or more for the fifth straight game. Again, without salary being much of an issue I see no reason not to pair Diggs with Allen for the best chance at multiple touchdown connections.
Diontae Johnson ($6,900) and JuJu Smith-Schuster vs. WAS ($6,300)
Who do we stack with Ben in our Steelers stacks? Some weeks I feel like it's probably best to just flip a coin, but I am going to go with Diontae and JuJu this week with Claypool being the odd man out potentially. Johnson is still the lead dog in targets as he racked up another crazy number against Baltimore with 13 and caught 8 of them. Meanwhile, it was JuJu who had the lone receiving touchdown for Pittsburgh as he caught 8 of 9 targets for 37 yards. Claypool still has big-play potential, but you can't ignore the volume that both Johnson and JuJu are getting in this short passing game.
FanDuel DFS Tight Ends
Eric Ebron vs. WAS ($5,600)
I love Ebron again this week and he's easily the top TE on this slate with all the other options being pretty "meh." He had another 7 catches on 11 targets last week and is now starting to line up in several different spots, sometimes out wide, in four and five receiver sets for the Steelers. He's a big target that Ben is growing fond of and Washington has struggled to defend the TE position this season.
FanDuel DFS Defense/Special Teams
The Steelers D/ST ($5,000) should be the chalk on this slate but my problem with playing them on FanDuel today is that forces me into playing only three Steelers position players. I would definitely play them with your Bills/Niners stacks but if you're stacking the Steelers offense then I prefer going down to the 49ers D/ST ($4,000) for the savings and a chance at creating some turnovers.
Well, that's it, everyone! Good luck, RotoBallers, in your contests and I hope this slate turns out to be a profitable one for you!
