OwnersBox Quarterbacks
Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills) vs. SEA
Allen has cooled down after a red-hot start to the season but a Week 9 matchup vs. the Seahawks should help him recapture that early season swag. The Seahawks are the best matchup in the league for passing attacks, allowing the most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and ranking 30th in pass-defense DVOA according to FootballOutsiders. This should be one of the highest-scoring games in Week 9.
Also consider: Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. CAR
Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks) @BUF, @LAR, vs. ARI, @PHI
Wilson now has four games with at least four touchdown passes and should have little trouble extending that impressive number against a Buffalo pass defense that ranks 22nd in DVOA in Week 9. The Seahawks then will face off against the Rams in Week 10 in a tough matchup. That being said, Wilson's other-worldly production makes him a weekly must-start regardless of matchup.
In Week 11, the Seahawks will face the Cardinals at home. Arizona's defense has been improved this season but they still don't pose much of a threat for Wilson. Russ finishes off this stretch against an Eagles pass defense that ranks 14th in DVOA and is allowing the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to QBs.
Also consider: Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers) @DAL, vs. CIN, @JAX, vs. BAL
OwnersBox Running Backs
Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints) @TB
Kamara should be in store for plenty of targets against a Tampa Bay defense that allowed him to score twice back in Week 1. With Michael Thomas still looking very iffy for Week 9, Kamara will remain the focal point for the Saints on offense. The Saints need this game to keep pace with Tampa in the NFC South, so look for them to lean heavily on Kamara.
Also consider: Christian McCaffrey (Carolina Panthers) @KC
Dalvin Cook (Minnesota Vikings) vs. DET, @CHI, vs. DAL, vs. CAR
Cook demolished the Packers in Week 8, scoring four times. He is teed up for another big game in Week 9 against a weak Detroit run defense. The Lions are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to the running back position this season. A Week 10 matchup vs. the Bears isn't an easy one but Chicago has allowed six rushing touchdowns to running backs this year.
Cook will face a weak Dallas defense in Week 11 in yet another plus matchup. The Cowboys have improved against the pass as the season has gone on (15th in DVOA) but still can't stop anyone on the ground. The Panthers in Week 12 is another excellent matchup. Carolina's defense is also strong vs. the pass and weak against the run, playing right into the Vikings' run-heavy approach on offense.
Also consider: David Johnson (Houston Texans) @JAX, @CLE, vs. NE, @DET
OwnersBox Wide Receivers
Stefon Diggs (Buffalo Bills) vs. SEA
Diggs has really fourished as the undisputed No. 1 receiver in Buffalo. He even finished with 92 receiving yards in Week 8 despite extremely windy conditions. He draws a dream matchup in Week 9 against a porous Seattle secondary that is allowing the most fantasy points per game to WRs.
Also consider: Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons) vs. DEN
DeAndre Hopkins (Arizona Cardinals) vs. MIA, vs. BUF, @SEA, @NE
Hopkins should be mostly over an early-season, nagging ankle injury, thanks to a well-timed Week 8 bye. He draws an excellent Week 9 matchup against a Miami defense that is allowing the 12th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers. Week 10 brings a home matchup against a Buffalo defense that ranks just 22nd in pass-defense DVOA.
In Week 11, it's Hopkins' turn for the Seattle dream matchup. He ripped this defense for 10 catches, 103 yards, and a score back in Week 7. The Patriots will then take a turn at slowing Hopkins in Week 12. New England's defense has taken a step back from 2019, ranking just 19th in pass defense DVOA.
Also consider: Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers) @SF, vs. JAX, @IND, vs. CHI
OwnersBox Tight Ends
Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs) vs. CAR
Kelce continues to flourish as the top tight end in fantasy, despite a relatively tough schedule this season. He draws a difficult matchup against the Panthers in Week 9 but you still have to like his chances this weekend. He is easily the top fantasy tight end on the board.
Also consider: Noah Fant (Denver Broncos) @ATL
Darren Waller (Las Vegas Raiders) @LAC, vs. DEN, vs. KC, @ATL
Extremely windy conditions in Cleveland in Week 8 prevented Waller from cashing in on a plus matchup. Fortunately he has an excellent stretch of games over the next month. First, he will face a Chargers Defense that is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. In Week 10, Waller will face the Broncos. Denver has been good at slowing opposing tight ends this season but they did allow the Titans to score a pair of tight end touchdowns in Week 1.
The Chiefs, his Week 11 opponent, allowed Waller to catch five balls and a touchdown back when they faced off in Week 5. The Falcons in Week 12 is the prime matchup to target for tight ends as Atlanta is allowing the most fantasy points per game to tight ends on the year.
Also consider: Mark Andrews (Baltimore Ravens) @IND, @NE, vs. TEN, @PIT
