Aaron Gordon Drops Fourth Straight Double-Double
7 years agoOrlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon scored 22 points with 11 rebounds in a loss to Indiana on Saturday. Gordon has been a double-double machine the last four games. He's averaging 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and three assists during that time span. While Gordon is still putting up nice numbers, his shooting has been in a free fall. Through November, Gordon shot 50.4 percent from the floor, 43.0 percent from beyond the arc and 77.0 percent from the foul line. In January, Gordon is taking more shots, but his percentages are way down. He is currently shooting 33.4 percent from the field and 20.9 percent from downtown. On Saturday, he shot 8-for-14 from the field and 1-for-6 from three. His 3-for-8 shooting from the free throw line cost Orlando a chance to send the game into overtime. Orlando has two days off before traveling to Houston. Given how the Rockets like to play, expect Gordon to take a lot of shots once again. Hopefully he can continue to chip in numbers across the stat line to make up for the poor shooting.
