Aaron Rai Has Upside Heading To Pebble Beach
3 years agoAaron Rai has looked excellent in the past two tournaments he has entered on the first two days. All four of those rounds have been in the 60's which placed him into contention. Last week at the Farmer's, Rai was about to top the leaderboard when he hit a wall. The English golfer bogeyed holes 2,4, and 5. He never truly recovered as he scrambled to an even-par 72. The good news was he finished tied for sixth. The bad news is that Rai has to hit better shots and putt more consistently later in tournaments. That hurt him several times on the back nine last week. There is a reason why he ranks 165th in putting at -0.316 strokes gained currently.
