3 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (knee) had his test results come back on Wednesday. Those results showed that he did do some structural damage to his left knee, which he tweaked during Tuesday's game. The Royals have yet to release an official timeline for Mondesi but he is expected to need a stint on the injured list. Mondesi has struggled with assorted injuries over his career, but he has also been one of the game's most dangerous base stealers when healthy. The 26-year-old is hitting .140 with three runs, three RBI, and five steals across 50 at-bats in 2022. Nicky Lopez should handle most of the work at shortstop in Mondesi's absence.--Matt T - RotoBaller
