3 years agoKansas City Royals president of baseball operations Dayton Moore said that shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (knee) has a torn ACL in his left knee. The Royals officially placed Mondesi on the 10-day injured list on Thursday and recalled outfielder Kyle Isbel and infielder Emmanuel Rivera from Triple-A Omaha in corresponding moves. Right-hander Brady Singer was also optioned to Omaha. Injuries continue to plague Mondesi, and he'll now miss the rest of the 2022 season, a major blow for the Royals and fantasy managers alike. The 26-year-old speedster played in just 35 games last year due to injuries and has become a major injury risk.
