3 years agoKansas City Royals infielder Adalberto Mondesi (hamstring) took batting practice and did some other baseball-related activities on Tuesday. "Mondesi looked really good yesterday," said Royals manager Mike Matheny. The 25-year-old infielder was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain. There is currently no timetable for his return and the Royals will be cautious with him as he recently returned from the injured list on May 23. Mondesi is slashing .360/.360/.720 with two home runs and a stolen base across four games in 2021. Nicky Lopez will continue to handle shortstop duties for the Royals while the incumbent at shortstop is sidelined.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
