Adam Eaton Slumping Since Opening Day Blast
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton got off to a hot start in 2020, homering in his first plate appearance against Yankees ace Gerrit Cole. Since then, essentially nothing has gone right at the dish, as he has hit .222 through his first 12 games with a .626 OPS. Eaton is striking out at a higher clip (26.7%) than ever before, in addition to seeing his walk rate (6.7%) dip. With limited time for giving players a leash, aggressive season-long owners can likely move on from Eaton ahead of his two matchups versus southpaws (Steven Matz, David Peterson) this week from the Mets. Should his price tag drop, DFS owners could swoop in due to his placement (second) in the lineup.
