Adam Frazier Starts Pirates Ninth-Inning Rally
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Adam Frazier finished 2-for-5 with a run batted in and two runs scored. His RBI single in the ninth gave the team their first run of the game before eventually tying it at three to go to extra innings. It marks three straight games with an RBI for the 27-year-old, and he's hit safely in six of his last seven games since missing a few games due to injury. As the Pirates leadoff man, Frazier's .303 wOBA and nine percent walk rate leaves something to be desired, but it's great to see him driving in runs. He'll need to continue finding ways to get on base to help spark a struggling offense. The Pirates face another right-hander in Shelby Miller on Wednesday before beginning a three-game series with Oakland over the weekend.
