3 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Adbert Alzolay (finger) could come off the 10-day injured list during their upcoming homestand. The 26-year-old was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 8 with a blister on his right middle finger. He threw a "high intensity" bullpen session on Thursday and feels ready to go. "The intensity in the bullpen was really high so I'm happy with it," Alzolay said before the Cubs' game at the New York Mets on Thursday. "I threw all my pitches and the blister has been taken care of with the trainers and everything. I feel ready to go." He is eligible to come off the injured list on Friday. Alzolay has improved a lot this season, owning a 4.06 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 62:16 K: BB across 57.2 innings.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
