5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning as the Rangers beat the Chicago White Sox 9-2 on Tuesday. Garcia's home run was his third this spring, and his slash line is up to .318/.333/.727 through 22 at-bats. Willie Calhoun has hit the injury list with a fractured jaw, and Rangers manager Chris Woodward is looking for a replacement. The most likely candidate is Nick Solak, but his services may be required elsewhere during the early part of the season. If Garcia keeps smacking the ball like this he has an outside chance at making the Opening Day roster and should be on AL-only manager's watch lists.--Euan Leith
