7 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre left Tuesday's game against Oakland with a strained left hamstring. The Rangers third baseman will be further evaluated on Wednesday. Beltre would be a huge loss to the Rangers offense. This season, he is hitting .310 with one home run, 11 runs and eight RBI. If he misses significant time, it would be just the second time in the last seven seasons he has done so. However, both of those seasons will have come in the last two years, and in both years he has suffered left hamstring injuries. At age 39, it may be time to consider that Beltre is no longer capable of putting together a full season for the Rangers or his fantasy owners.--Ben Rolfe
