6 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre (hamstring) is making progress towards a return from the disabled list. Beltre is taking grounders and is including some lateral movement into his workout. He also stated that he is planning to do some jogging later as well, but there is still no date set for his return. Beltre is hitting .314 in 120 plate appearances this season. However, he has hit just one home run and has just a .108 ISO. Beltre should still be top-10 third baseman on a per-games basis, and we expect the Rangers to try and keep him healthy by starting him at the designated hitter position when he returns.--Ben Rolfe
