5 years agoGolden State Warriors point/shooting guard Alec Burks entered the starting five for Saturday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder due to Eric Paschall’s absence. Burks parlayed that opportunity into a 23-point effort across 37 minutes that also included five rebounds and four assists with just one turnover. With injuries decimating Golden State, Burks appears primed to take a significant step forward in the short-term, making him a legitimate fantasy commodity in any sized league. He faces his former club, Utah, on Monday, although he may return to leading the second unit should Paschall be able to suit up.--Jesse Borek
