Alec Burks Unavailable For Tuesday’s Contest
4 years agoNew York Knicks shooting guard Alec Burks (ankle) has been ruled inactive for Tuesday's game versus the Cavaliers. Having averaged 20.7 points per game off the bench to begin the season, Kevin Knox figures to be one of the prime beneficiaries of Burks' absence. New York will be short-handed in the backcourt once again, which should funnel additional minutes in the direction of Reggie Bullock and RJ Barrett, who can also be viewed as potential DFS value plays without Burks in the mix. Having established the role of primary scorer for the Knicks' second unit, Burks is worth consideration for a waiver wire addition when he next returns to action, which could be as soon as Thursday against Toronto.
