Alex Len Records Double-Double In 23 Minutes Off Bench
6 years agoAtlanta Hawks center Alex Len has been fairly successful whether coming off the bench or starting this season. The 7-foot-1 big man compiled 14 points and hauled down 10 rebounds while also contributing an assist and two steals in 23 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's victory over the Bulls. He was 4-for-10 from the field and 6-for-7 from the charity stripe. It was his second double-double in the last four games and third this season, With Dewayne Dedmon healthy the past three games, the 25-year-old is once again filling the role as a backup. Len, who has reached double-figures in 13 of his last 17 appearances, has put up similar numbers whether as a starter or reserve with the biggest difference being that he sees about five or six more minutes when starting than when coming off the bench. While the sixth-year pro is a possible DFS and streaming option when he earns the start, his minutes are too inconsistent with rookie Omari Spellman also healthy for him to be used in everyday lineups.
