Alfonzo McKinnie Records 14-Point Outing Off Bench
5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers small forward Alfonzo McKinnie saw 30 minutes as a reserve during Monday’s defeat to the New York Knicks due to the absence of Kevin Love. McKinnie, who had scored 10 points combined in his first six games this season, went for 14 points on 4-for-10 shooting, knocking down three or more triples in a contest for just the third time in his career. He also added six rebounds to his stat line, showcasing some of the numbers that he can accrue when given ample time. Love’s absence likely won’t be an extended one, but if McKinnie can crack the Cavaliers’ rotation with a higher frequency, he could be a traditional fantasy asset in deep leagues.
