6 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond continued to try and put distance between himself and the rest of the competition for the NBA’s rebounding crown during Thursday’s victory over the Phoenix Suns, snatching 19 boards to go along with his 16 points. Averaging 15.5 rebounds per game, Drummond is on pace to repeat as the league’s champion of the glass, with a 1.7 RPG lead on Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid. The opponent hasn’t much mattered for Drummond, who has been a fiend to the tune of 17.3 RPG across 11 March contests, with the Portland Trail Blazers next up Saturday.--Jesse Borek
