Andre Drummond Dominates on the Boards Against Pelicans
7 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond had a double-double in the 118-113 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Drummond scored 13 points on 33 percent shooting from the field. He supplemented the underwhelming field goal total by pulling down 21 boards, with eight of them coming on the offensive end. Drummond's scoring numbers can be a little worrisome at times, but he more than makes up for it with his league-leading 15.6 rebounds per game. His free throw percentage has also drastically improved and is currently sitting at 62 percent on the year, up from 38.6 percent from a season ago. After a back-to-back set, the Pistons will get a night off and will host the Atlanta Hawks on Valentine's Day, a team that has struggled mightily against opposing big men all season. Look for Drummond to acquire another double-double and possibly see his rebounding total to be well north of the double-digit mark.
