Andre Drummond Ejected In Third Quarter Of Defeat
5 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond was tossed in the third quarter of Saturday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls after throwing the ball at the head of Bulls center Daniel Gafford following a lay-up that the rookie made over the league’s leading rebounder. Drummond played 19 minutes prior to his departure, finishing with nine points, four rebounds and two assists. The early trip to the locker room snapped his streak of eight straight double-doubles, while marking his vastly lowest rebounding total of the year. The only person likely to stunt Drummond’s numbers moving forward should he remain with Detroit appears to be Drummond, who next gets to take the floor Monday versus the Pelicans, whom he has recorded a double-double against in five consecutive meetings.
