Andre Drummond Posts "Moses Malone Triple-Double"
6 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond once again showed why he is the best rebounder in the league, by a wide margin, in Wednesday's overtime victory over the Magic. The 25-year-old scored 14 points and hauled down 11 offensive rebounds and 11 defensive rebounds (22 total) for the 11th "Moses Malone triple-double" of his career. A "Moses Malone triple-double" is when a player scores 10 or more points while also grabbing double-digit rebounds on both ends of the floor. He also made seven of 15 shots from the floor and blocked a shot as well as doled out an assist in the game. It was his 36th double-double of the campaign and the 39th time that he has brought down double-figure caroms, which includes topping the 20- rebound mark on eight occasions. The seventh-year pro ranks second in the league in rebound percentage, fourth in defensive rebound percentage and second in offensive rebound percentage. Drummond, who is averaging 2.1 steals a game this month, will look to post his fifth straight double-double on Friday against Hassan Whiteside and the Heat. The former UConn star had a monster game against the Heat in the first meeting this season, compiling 25 points along with 24 rebounds (11 offensive) and three assists
