Andre Drummond Pulls Down a Ridiculous 27 Boards
7 years agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond was dominant on the glass on Wednesday in the win over the Brooklyn Nets. Drummond had a rough night from the field, finishing things up with 17 points on 5-for-17 shooting. However, he made amends by going an uncharacteristic 7-for-10 from the charity stripe and pulling down a monstrous 27 rebounds in addition to some solid defensive numbers that included three steals and two blocks. Drummond has benefited from the arrival of forward Blake Griffin and has seen a 1.8 percent increase in his usage rate since Griffin arrived in the Motor City. With a projected pace of 101.5, Drummond has a favorable matchup on Friday against the Clippers, a team that is allowing 26.9 points, 17.8 boards and a 47 percent field goal percentage to opposing big men this season.
