Signed out of Mexico in 2015, the 20-year-old Munoz has zipped through the minors, posting an absurd 14.6 K/9 across Double-A and Triple-A this season before the call-up. Munoz is a raw talent with a two-pitch repertoire but consistently breaches 100 MPH on his fastball. With the Padres bullpen in tatters, the Friars No. 18 prospect has a legitimate shot to establish himself in high-leverage situations.
