Andrew Wiggins Drops Season-High 30 Points In Defeat
5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard/small forward Andrew Wiggins served as his team’s de facto point guard during Wednesday’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies due to the absence of Jeff Teague (illness) and Shabazz Napier (hamstring). Despite that, Wiggins went for a season- and team-high 30 points on 11-for-21 shooting, knocking down three triples. That now gives Wiggins three straight contests with at least a trio of threes made, something that he failed to accomplish all of last season. He also packed the stat sheet with six assists, two rebounds and two steals, continuing what has been an excellent statistical stretch for the sixth-year wing.
